With an emphasis on efficiency and function, Los Mekanikos' striking club constructions combine raw hypno-rhythm tracks with pumping, relentless grooves that pay homage to Chicago, Detroit, Berlin, while establishing Mexico City's claim as one of the most emergent Techno/House movements right now.

The first outside artists to release on Sanfuentes' LA-based imprint, Los Mekanikos deliver an electrifying debut for Sanfuentes Records. 
This are certified secret weapons designed for the dancefloor, living up the label's motto of "110%" by stripping back melodic or atmospheric adornments in favor of directing the bodies deep into their rhythmic maze.

Comprised of Mexico City-based producers Max Jones and Eddie Mercury, the duo's partnership is one that thrives on embracing endless tracky grooves and patient arrangements, while winking at you - instilling a sense of playfulness and lightness throughout. This is no po-faced stripped down techno record, but rather mischievously grinning and funky.

The anthemic opener and title track "Tacha Tacha" sets the EP's tone. The directness and simplicity of Los Mekanikos is on full display here with the drum work and bass guiding most of the track. 
Sanfuentes' remix for "Tacha Tacha" pulls back the original's visceral drive into a steady bounce - padding it with electric synth lines and letting it simmer until the air gets rarefied. 
Raw rhythm jack tracks and hiccuping vocal samples throughout "Pussyca" equate to total house madness, squarely splitting the difference between Phuture and Rebolledo. 
The EP's relentless closer "Viene Viene" further explores the duo's penchant for relentless insanity, utilizing an ear-tickling melodic ring and a wobbling disco groove to maximum effect.

From the realms of Buenos Aires’ legendary and undocumented nightlife comes a new EP by @djs-pareja - who have been generously introducing us to their nocturnal dancefloor visions since the very beginning of Cómeme, shaping not only the label’s sound and message but also influencing heavily the modern takes on Techno in Latin America. 
Here’s their EP “Alto” literally meaning “High”, and this is where it’s supposed to take you and surely will. 

CLUB DE LA LOCURA: Always clinging to the utopic idea of the dancefloor as an unreal place of dream and magic, a place of craziness (locura), a place the aliens, DJs Pareja’s “Club de la locura” keeps manifesting this idea, associating it with something obscure, and so they say: feline.

@Roam-Recordings 38th release comes from Italian producer Luca ‘@DJ-Rocca’ Roccatagliati. Having previously released on Compost, Classic, Sonar Kollektiv, rekids, International Feel and currently working with Daniele Baldelli and Dimitri from Paris his impressive acid disco narratives were perfect for Roam Recordings.

The EP starts out with DJ Rocca’s original ‘Maccheroni’ - a stunning blend of jazz, latin rhythms, and analog melodies. Joining the EP for a remix is New York’s Eric ‘Dr Dunks’ Duncan (half of legendary DJ & production duo Rub n Tug & also half of DFA's 'Still Going).  The EP continues with ‘Aula’, another excellent original from the maestro DJ Rocca. ‘Aula’ keeps with the theme of blended jazz, latin rhythms, and analog melodies, but in a much more subtle stripped down fashion. 

We fell in love with Black Spuma's remix straight away though, the production duo of Lauer (Tuff City Kids/Talamanca System) and Fabrizio @Mammarella (Telespazio) who have a history of quality releases on labels such as Running Back, Beats in Space, Permanent Vacation, Rollerboys Recordings and International Feel. Together they rework Rocca’s ‘Aula’ into a head nodding house music for house people textured track with a body moving bass line. A superb addition to the strong cast already on this EP.

The latest release on @Roam-Recordings comes from Mexican based rock techno fusion duo @ZombiesinMiami. Widely known for their deep, dark, and energetic live performances and their excellent productions on labels such as Correspondant, Cómeme, Love on The Rocks, and Hippie Dance. 

In the Primitive EP featured here Zombies in Miami bring two stunning originals that offer up both the light and the dark. The title track Primitive is a fun discofied tune with floating flutes, a cut up vocal, and a bassline full of bounce. 

Joining the EP is Jakarta-based artist Jonathan Kusuma who has previously released on I’m a Cliche, Love on the Rocks, Nein, and Machine Limited among others. Plus fellow Mexican dj/producer Mijo that has previously released on Correspondant, Sanfuentes, and Shara among others. 

All four tracks come together to form a diverse EP that on one side is perfect to set the mood for a seance or dark club and the other for fun party vibes. The Primitive EP also marks the last EP of 2017 for Roam Recordings. Zombies in Miami, Jonathan Kusuma, and Mijo together bring a strong finish to an already big year for the label.
