Marseille-based DJ and producer Harold Boué, aka @abstraxion, returns as Lion's Drums with second LP entitled "La Batterie", set to drop on January 10th via @cocktail-damore. Drawing from unreleased music and song sketches by the original artists as well as field recordings from travels and studio sessions made by Roberto Musci &amp; Manos Tsangaris in the 80's and early 90's he constructs a side winding journey through playful textures and ethereal moods.

Cómeme delivers to you one of the freshest rhythms of 2018, recorded in Johannesburg, the new residency for the renegades of the beat. This is “Rain” – starring Matias Aguayo and the actress, dj and singer Ayanda Seoka aka Mujaji The Rain. She’s resident at the legendary Bar Kitchener’s all femme “Pussy Party”, a space for feminist / queer action and dancefloor joy, right in the centre of Joburg. 

Cómeme has been since some time in a serious and passionate relationship with that city. Radio Cómeme transmitted shows from there with electronica legend Felix Laband, Mpumelelo Mkatha from BLK JKS, the queer performance duo Faka, Gqom pioneers RudeBoyz and also Kwaito’s legacy keeper Spleef McZaul. Matias Aguayo ventured into a beautiful collaboration with DJ Spoko, released two years ago on this label. 

“Rain” is a deeply rhythmical track, inspired by the grooves that converged when Cómeme swing crossed the paths with the syncopations people in Joburg were dancing to. It has become quite clear in the recent years that elegantly shuffled triplets are marking a way to the future in dance music, especially in the southern hemisphere, no matter if you’re in Durban, Rio or Santiago. 

On top of this modern groove we can hear Mujaji the Rain enjoying how she gets wet under a dark and tropical sky. Laughter, joy and ecstasy is what she emanates while hypnotically involving you into this atmosphere of dense drumming and trance. (side note: Cómeme has been consequently< evading the description hypnotical in press releases but this time it was unavoidable). 

For further jacking fun we generously included a “Club Mix”, including more drum frenzy towards the second half of the track, and a “Just Drums Mix” for the skilful DJ. 

Side B features the jam “Serious”, which comes along with another killer beat, reminiscent of Michael Jackson or Cheri. A late-night track in which Mujaji The Rain turns into a sensual but slightly annoying creature that doesn’t want to leave the dancefloor. and for sure doesn’t want to go home. 

We added an instrumental version to this complexly arranged tracks, which feature pianos, strings, and heavy synth bass stabs. 
All tracks on this 12” are written in a 6/8 signature, which some normative DJs might shy away from, but be safe: both tracks are in 120 bpm and carry the seal of official Cómeme dancefloor approval by the label’s highly respected DJs.

Very proud to showcase yet another Glasgow-based artist for our second Invisible Inc digital-only release.

As with its predecessor by The Mamba, these releases aim to pack a slightly harder punch than the more psychedelic / cosmic outings the vinyl label is known for.

This time around it's Krokakai aka Kyle Webster at the controls. Some of you may remember Krokakai from our INVINC 17 Cassette compilation in late 2017. 

Ranging from tribal sci-fi rave to new wave electro and then powering onwards to almost industrial sounding slo-mo techno, the machines under Krokakai's control are perfectly tuned for Invisible Inc.'s dark side.

The EP features an amazing extended version of Ardu 1009 which appeared on INVINC 17-CAS that adds an entirely new breakdown complete with distorted (and deranged) saxophone thanks to Jude Thomson that definitely takes the track further than we could have imagined.

However, taking pride of place in pole position is the tribal sci-fi mantra Bodhran Beat: a spoken-word, bleep fuelled, drum-filled odyssey into rhythm and sound that's already been getting praise and plays from Manfredas, Mr TC and Alicia Carrera (Hivern Discs).

The two tracks are complimented on their respective sides by the new wave/synth pop of Mutual Reaction on side A and the hypno-gothic industrial throb of Awaken on the B

Vampires are paradoxical creatures. Demons with human bodies. But they are afraid of death. Being immortal, they are afraid of her worse than any person. They are dead, but forced to look for ways to survive. They live in two worlds, but do not belong to any of them, there are a lot of such creatures in the night as we know it. Beware of them, you never know when they will deliver their ruthless, vile blow.
For the first release of the year eclectic label Yalançı  choose a single from mysterious producer R.Bakaite and offers it with this wonderful remix from the German wizard of sound Detlef Weinrich AKA Tolouse Low Trax. The drums and shape-shifting bass are firmly fixed to the dancefloor as they build the foundations for a low-paced, monster that transfixes and enthralls. “I’m vampire , i like dark rooms” the voice reminds us, as the mix heads straight for the jugular with percussion lines and punctuating piano that strip the original’s flesh from the bones and rebuild it as a modern club vampire anthem, and trust me it’s many out of them there in the modern dark rooms.

The night air was warm and sticky, she breathed deeply as a light breeze washed over her face. Walking the dusty winding streets, dulcet sounds echoed all around; beautiful intricate melodies that transported her to a different time and place. She was far away from home but she had no intention of returning anytime soon. Things were much more interesting here, you never knew what strange delights would greet you around each corner. 

Berlin-based producer Cosmo Vitelli presents the sixth release on Edit Service, the rework driven sub-label of his I'm A Cliche imprint. Indebted to breathing new life into forgotten tracks, the label has seen the likes of Rouge Mécanique, Red Axes and Ólta Karawane deliver their own fresh interpretations of everything from new wave and synth-pop to house, EBM and electro. Next up are Multi Culti and Edits du Plasir alumni Youkounkoun - a duo made up of Get A Room's Jeff Lasson and Gaëtan Rossi - who are no strangers to edit duties. For their mini-LP they explore kraut, post-punk and industrial, rearranging and transforming seven tracks that have never previously been edited.
