The idea behind this track is to create a theme for a deep trench level trope, something that distinguishes itself from beach/underwater (which will have its own theme with the underwater variation). Think of it as a more open version to underwater levels but you're submerged deep in the water, its a lot darker and you have to use searchlights to navigate through deep trenches, dodging eels, Big Berthas, pufferfishes and etc.

Last time I listened to this song must've been like a few years, but then a friend recently posted it on social media and suddenly the idea to convert this song kind of just sprung instantly into my head.  I put quite a bit more LFO-related effort into this than I was initially intending to, but I like how it came out.
