Back in June of last year we introduced you to the sounds of Data Memory Access with the hope that more music would follow. Well, that time is finally here and the co-production of Giammarco Orsini, and fellow Italian Jacopo Latini has again bared fruit on Berlin based label Mood Wax.

For this particular outing on Mood Wave it is a four track VA that gives the duo known as DMA the platform they need to launch their spacey vibes. Premiere: A2 - Data Memory Access - I Can't Be Alone [MW003]

On our seventh release, Man/ipulate encapsulates Watatsumi’s spirit, the legendary water dragon. Known as the ruler of the seas and god of the oceans, he would control storms and rainfalls, protect its waters and transform into animals and human forms making him one of the most influential creatures in Japanese mythology.

Our sensei Man/ipulate starts with ‘Dimension’ a perfect gem filled with swinging percussions and groovy rhythms, followed by ‘1st Date’, which is definitely to look forward to. On the flip-side comes ‘Watatsumi’, an absolute charm as if it were controlling the sea’s movement from calm to storm. To end things in beauty, ‘Make It Sweat’ literally speaks for itself, a powerful punchy track delivering the dragon’s message from his underwater palace.

Mood Waves is a new label focusing on printing tracks of friends on wax. The first slice comes from the Italian duo Giammarco Orsini & Jacopo Latini with their new collab: Data Memory Access. Expect different sound waves for various moods.

The fifth chapter of Threads' journey through underground club music is also the first various artist of the label. The opening track is a an acid cut with a bouncing backbeat provided by Dormald aka Omar Akhrif and Donald, owners of Big Morning Records and resident at Veniceberg. The A2 is a smoking clubbing anthem that will immediately bring you to the UK scene, home of the Italian artist Jos, who built his reputation through the years with his productions for his labels Eya / Lonewolf and his DJ set around Europe. The opening track of the B-side is the debut of Grapevibe, a collective straight out of Bologna. It's a house cut with proggy elements and a Balearic touch with a clear reference to the Italian deep house scene from the nineties. The closing track is another debut, this time is Nando aka NND. Electronic Device is your go-to track to create that special mood on the dancefloor.

Butter Side Up Records strides into 2021 with an essential new EP from long time label friend Youandewan. The four tracker follows his remix on BSU001 and is a spaced out house trip into the next dimension. 

The EP was made purely on 90's grooveboxes and recorded live to cassette.
