Since making waves with his breakout ‘Get Close EP’ on Empathy Audio in 2024, Kevin (aka Re:growth) has been on an unstoppable rise. Blending dark, minimal textures with a razor-sharp underground sensibility, he’s delivered standout cuts like ‘Pluka’ and ‘Don’t Talk’, earning him a coveted collaboration with minimal maestro Teej on ‘Juxtapose / Mori’. Andreas Ort, otherwise known as Dualistic, came to our attention through some solid uploads recently supported by Liquicity. Having fired over these two epic tracks a few a months ago, we had no choice but to share them with you! Originally from Germany, Andreas is now based in the Netherlands and has knocked up two massive tunes; 'Brave' featuring Ayve and teamed up with Zazu for 'Beauty'.
'Brave' kicks off with Andreas' signature uplifting melodic textures and a glitchy build-up to give way to a deep rumbling bass and punchy drum lick. Ayve's haunting emotive tones sit perfectly atop this summer roller.
Working with Leiden-based neighbour Zazu for the A/B side, the pair deliver a solid minimal roller in Beauty. Opening with a reserved half-time intro, the track builds slowly into a cliff-hanging drop which doesn't disappoint. A swelling bassline blends with a solid amen break, soaring pads dressing the high end and a spacey yet simple descending melody to top it all off. Soulvent deliver a solid package in their 15th release, sure to shutdown more than the odd dancefloor this summer.

Let's be honest. How many seven year old junglists do you know of? Well, the boy who would become Command Strange was just such a child. Growing up in Kazakhstan, the lure of his older brother's jungle and drum 'n' bass proved irresistible, and exposure to the music of icons like Roni Size, Aphrodite, and LTJ Bukem laid the foundations for what was to follow.

By the age of sixteen Command Strange was already releasing music. With a focus on the melodic side of DnB, he quickly got the attention of the scene's elite. The likes of Bryan Gee, Jumpin Jack Frost, Goldie, Hype, Bukem, Fabio & Grooverider regularly supported his productions, and with airplay on prestigious stations like BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra, his reputation as one to watch was secured.

And he hasn't slowed down since.

Releases on Fokuz, Metalheadz, Good Looking, Integral, Grid, Horizons, Hospital and Med School have proven his versatility, with the Command Strange sound evolving to encompass harder, nastier styles alongside his pristine musicality. In a scene where releasing one artist album is a major achievement, Command Strange's back cat already includes three of them, “Soul Booster” and “Episode 91” on Fokuz, and “Joy”, his team-up with Intelligent Manners, on Marky's Innerground imprint.

Now exclusively signed to the V Recordings family, and with a reputation as a deejay that's seen him hype crowds across Europe and beyond, Command Strange has racked up achievements that are distant dreams for many artists twice his age.
