Hailing from Leipzig, Germany, none/such resident Janthe delivers our 61st episode of CommaCast.

A producer and DJ with a real ear for the fluid soundscapes that mould the sound systems of Berlin and beyond. Janthe has been on our watchlist for a while now with a fluid mixing style that smoothly transitions through a journey of styles that keeps the energy evolving perfectly.

Entering 2023 with a bang, our 62nd episode of the CommaCast Series lands with a triumphant masterclass mix from Aquatic Formations head honcho, Bil-Sol.

Resident party starter from London based collective 22 Tapes and founder of mind melting 90's inspired sonic showcase platform Aquatic Formation, Bil-Sol has delivered to us a truly powerful masterclass in digger skills. A high energy jaw dropping selection of otherworldly 90's and 00's sounds that travel through the cosmic spheres of house, prog and trance. This mix is excellent.

Episode 63 lands in the deep and dark realms of spacious and emotive electronic music exploration, from Bristol based masterful selector Monoke.

Setting herself up for an exciting 2023 ahead, Monoke has dug into a deep and immersive selection of dubby, ambient inspired techno and thick bass-scapes that captivated our ears and minds upon first listening to this brilliantly crafted mix. We have become increasingly aware of this talented DJ's activities with sets popping up across Bristol, Cardiff and London it's easy to see why Monoke is a name repeatedly appearing on line-ups. Our 64th episode welcomes the magnificent sounds of Tifra to the CommaCast Series.

A well overdue addition to our beloved mix roster, Utrecht based Netherlands producer and DJ, Tifra shares with us a mix of sublime underground progressive sounds that had us groovin' from start to finish. With an impressive and continuously growing back catalogue of releases on prestigious labels such as Duality Trax, Gestalt, SNIPPETS, Rough and of course Comma Traxx. Tifra is a name that should be on everyone's wish list with a superb knack for creating forward thinking takes on current trends that move the underground dancefloors, it's obvious that this artist isn't going anywhere any time soon. Episode 65 of the CommaCast Series dives full throttle into high tempo'd breakbeat, trance and prog house sounds from Dublin's SANDY.

Co-founder of Dublin, Ireland's underground party starter crew Fuaim, SANDY delivers a mix that impresses from the off, with it's powerhouse energy immediately taking effect we were very excited to have this one shared with us for the platform and cements in our minds why brand Fuaim and the DJ himself, SANDY should be musical presences you should all be following. This mix is masterful!

Episode 66 of the CommaCast Series re-welcomes the mischievous sounds of Glen S to the Comma family, whom previously released with us on our ToneShift output with the remarkable dancefloor hit 'Playtime'.

Providing us with over an hour of his own unreleased productions we have a mix that acts as a stable representation of why Aus producer and DJ, Glen S is a name that is heavily circulating around the underground renaissance of progressive house and trance. The young sound crafter has been generating a lot of heat in recent years with an impressive array of high quality label releases with respected brands such as eclectic., Haws, Parry Talks, Dialectic, Lovejoy and his own output Planet Euphoria. We were delighted when the artist shared this mix of all his own material with us, and very excited to share it all with you.

Floating us through a deeply dug collection of old school, early trance, London based Bethan takes our minds into a state of luminous bliss for the 67th episode of CommaCast.

London via Birmingham based collector Bethan has been impressing the dancefloors of late. With an ever developing list of fantastic parties that has showcased her unique knack for finding the ethereal or straight up one of a kind tracks that wows the sound systems and breathes new life into tunes that should never be lost in the caves of old school early trance. This mix represents that drive to find the sublime, representing this DJ's unique taste in tune digging and we are grateful to be able to share it with you all.

London based collector Timor provides us with full power proggy goodness for our 68th instalment of the CommaCast Series.

1/2 of duo Tim-Sum alongside fellow CommaCast Series content provider Lora Mipsum. Timor is a DJ that oozes natural talent behind the decks, with a real love for the deep digging searches of 90s / 00s underground sounds. We have blessed with an hour and a half of high class, highly skilled mixing and we're incredibly happy to be able to share this mix on the series.

Landing in for episode 69 we have London based Mixamatosis co-founder Fox taking us through the slower aspects of trance like soundscapes in a progressive manner.

Fox is a name popping up increasing in frequency across London and beyond, striving for eclecticism with his DJ sets and the Mixamatosis brand, Fox is a DJ that will always bring something different and unique to each set he delivers. Lock in for this one!

CommaCast episode 70 is absolute "'ere we go!" full pelt energy from the start gifted to us by France based selector Vitaline.

Hailing from Tours, Vitaline has been rapidly developing an impressive name for themselves with weekend after weekend of shaking dancefloors aloof with pacey grooves and jaw dropping selections. A DJ in the truest sense, able to find those obscure tracks pieced together into mixes that scream out Vitalines natural talent to get us energised and moving. Seat belts on for this one!

Welcoming back to the Comma Traxx output we have Mulubinba, Australia based sound-scaper Sleep Exchange.

Previously releasing with us on our ToneShift - Planet Misc. Vol 1 compilation album with his deeply hypnotic 'Cenobite'. Sleep Exchange is known for expertly fusing deep, organic bush sounds with percussive body music, creating unique atmospheres that entice and morphs dancefloors. Boss behind Geotherapy a platform for showcasing left-field frequencies within the Mulubinba scene. His superb mix for us represents the trance fused chuggy side of this artist's deep n otherworldly sonic palette and we're grateful to have it on the CommaCast Series!

Episode 72 welcomes Sweden based digger, producer, sound designing wizard Bolam to the CommaCast Series.

Founder of platform Earworm and a quickly developing name within the underground electro, tech and progressive house circuits, with celebrated releases on labels such as Space Dust, Slump and Haws, Bolam is a name that is consistently popping up on track lists around the world. Blessed to share with us a mix that combines old school warehouse rave culture with modernised takes on those old school sounds. We are gifted with an eclectically energetic hour and a half of  progressively trance fused house music bliss.

Keeping herself busy with an already impressive portfolio of activities within the music scene, spending this year working closely with much loved Secretsundaze, residencies with Balamii and Spiritland, as well as bracing the decks of the cities insitutional party spots such as Fabric, Lion & Lamb and The Cause. Meg Paine's mix for us demonstrates a masterful skill to develop a set with fluidity, seemlessly evolving party tune energy whilst maintaining an atmosphere of old school warehouse bliss. Episode 74 of the CommaCast welcome Tallinn based Estonian talent, must sebra, to the Comma family.

Morphing soundscapes with ease, must sebra delivers a delightful exploration of the fascinating DJ's extensive palette of deep, dark, earthly and proggy treats. Impressing us with an impressive recent display of self-published mixes, as well as mixes on much loved London platform Whomp plus guesting on Remotif's 'Super Eccentric Theatre' residency on Noods Radio. Landing at episode 75 we have quickly rising behemoths within the underground Aus prog and tech flavoured house and trance scene, Primitive Needs. Providing us with a masterclass display of deeply dug tech house flavours, the talented duo offer a truely remarkable addition to the CommaCast Series.

The 'Primitive Needs' name is one that is quickly making an impact within the underground scene, with celebrated releases on labels such as Wex, Craigie Knowes, RAND Muzik and more. These lads are definitely worth getting know, with a distinctively techy production sound and a top of the craft ability to steadily develop mixes into patiently more driving states of exquisite drive and groove. Proper talents!

CommaCast 075: Primitive Needs

Hailing from Osaka, Japan, Paperkraft brings a high energy instalment of top tier tune selections and unreleased material with episode 76 of the CommaCast Series.

An artist that has been continously growing within the underground electronic circuits over a number of years. We first heard of the Paperkraft name back in the primetime of the lo-fi house and techno days, an artist that was consistantly putting out truly moving and forward thinking productions. Now pushing more tech and prog inspired house music under this alias and delightfully sharing his track 'Space Cadet' with us for the latest ToneShift compilation, it's apparent even more so that Paperkraft is a true talent capable of producing top quality in any style they explore. Get locked into this mix, featuring mostly unreleased tracks from the producer and DJ.

An up and coming name within the Manchester circuit, Caff, who's spent the best part of a decade collecting a widespread of underground sounds. This mix showcases a glimpse of what this selectors capable of and we're hyped to have his unique style on the series.

Landing in for a much welcomed instalment to the CommaCast Series, L Daze (she/her) brings the psychedelic goodness for episode 78.
Starting her journey behind the booth in Birmingham via collective Selextorhood, now based in London, L Daze has been shelling out masterful recent sets for prestigious names such as Goddezz, Aquatic Formations, Whomp and Rhythm Section. Drawing inspiration from the 90's / early 00's trance and prog era, this talented selector combines old-school hypnotic sounds with the paced up state of modern dance floors. This hour long mix for us represents just a taste of the sheer class L Daze has when it comes to crafting absorbing story telling through tripped out grooves and mind melting sonic atmospheres. Superb stuff!

Slamming it down for episode 79 of the CommaCast Series we have Manchester-based Sassafrass co-founder, JON XVM!

Displaying for us a no-holds-barred powerhouse of old-school and modernised underground prog house sounds, Jon takes us on a mighty journey of pre-summer party fuel. Launching brand Sassafrass back in 2022, a project that would quickly lead towards playing sets at ADE, Glastonbury, as well as regular club events in Manchester and Leeds. Jon's taste is diverse yet top tier in finding those sweet gems, and this mix for us showcases that skillset he has to piece superb selections together. Get locked into this one!

Episode 80 has landed! Welcoming to the Comma family a quickly rising name within the London circuit going by the name of Julia SC.

Midlands-raised, SE-London-based Julia SC's taste for melodically tripped out euphoric dance music was shaped in Leeds when serving as an Editor for the (now defunct) Flux blog - the much loved House and Techno event, and label. Now making a rapidly growing presence for herself within the London trance and prog scene, Julia has graced us with a delicately crafted mix that paints a sunkissed hug in the form of vintage deeply dug electro, breakbeat, trance and prog. What's so distinctive about this mix is how much it showcases an individual sound for this absolute talent of a selector and how we are held in a space of complete escapism from the first track to the last.
