Moving on from the last heavy hitting Modulations release and we’re treated to an even more sturdy effort from two names that need no introduction. A bit of a dream collaboration between Vicious Circle and Metalheadz man Jubei, and where better place to serve it up than from Critical’s Modulations imprint. ‘Cloak &amp; Dagger’ wastes no time and kicks off with a solid stepping break as eerie space warped pads wrap around to suck us deep into the wormhole. Heinous bass slams on this sound system killer, perfect for some late night 3am entertaining and leaves us in no doubt of a properly undiluted low-slung king of the rollers. Nasty, naughty but nice. Sliding perfectly into the second slab and ‘Deliberate’ continues much in the same vein but it manages to up the ante with some even more sickening bassline action. Running percussion increases the pace whilst the bass stabs take it up another notch for a heads down, no nonsense slice of D&amp;B goodness. Never fails. DJ support from Alix Perez, Rockwell, Lenzman, Kasra, D Bridge and more.

Vicious Circle &amp; Jubei - Cloak &amp; Dagger

Wreckless continues to impress with the 'Low Light EP', six tracks of richly textured, progressive drum and bass that capture the introspective nature of this talented producer while maintaining serious dancefloor appeal. 

From the garage vocal chop-inspired 'Best Kept Secrets' to the experimental 17/16 time signature of 'Seventeen Heads' Wreckless demonstrates his varied influences throughout. Taking in rolling breaks on 'Eclipse Sequence', granular processing on 'H2O' and inspiration from recent DJ performances in Dalston on 'Hexagon', this EP is a surefire hit for fans of Wreckless. 

The title track, 'Low Light,' speaks of winter mornings, leaving warehouse clubs in the cold dead of night on a track inspired by science fiction, industrial landscapes and alternative grooves. Essential listening.

We are proud to present the solo debut release from Berlin based duo Survey on Dispatch, with five tracks for the ‘Sidewalks EP’.
