Critical Recordings boss and the artist behind this March’s FABRICLIVE 62 CD, Kasra Mowlavi, has confirmed that he’s pressed two exclusive remixes to vinyl to commemorate the CD’s release. The limited edition 10” vinyl is comprised of two of the standout exclusive tracks from the mix: Enei’s stomping remix of Foreign Concept’s ‘Mob Justice’ and Concept’s dark junglist take on Enei’s incredible ‘Obsession’.

We present the second installment in our ‘Culture’ series, this time with the music of young producer & DJ from Bromley Javano.

In this series we take our eyes off the techy rolling sound we are well versed in and focus more on the melodic and experimental sound this diverse genre boasts, and we feel Javano has delivered all of this and more.

The Interlace EP is a spellbinding, mystical experience from start to finish, taking you through flourishing worlds and breathless sonic landscapes, never failing to capture the essence of the ‘other’. The raw emotion and exposed atmosphere on this release comes through, leaving the listener captivated and longing to be taken away again.

Javano takes us into alternate universes with each track, exercising with a deliberate delicacy a power only music can have.

Starting out as a duo, the Commix name has graced some of Drum & Bass’ leading labels since coming to prominence in the early 2000’s, and the debut album, ‘Call To Mind’, holds the honour of being the first solo artist album for historic label Metalheadz. The lead single, 'Be True', has long since cemented its place in Drum & Bass history as an anthem on the grandest scale, and the album itself was incredibly well received across the electronic music spectrum and is widely regarded as one of the best D&B LPs of all time.

As a DJ his focus is on the deep, the experimental and the musical. Drawing on his wealth of experience in both Drum & Bass and 4x4 based genres, he joins these styles together in a mesmerising weave, defying genre and categorisation, that cements his reputation as one of the most respected artists in the scene today.
