Tanja Fuchs aka “Abu Gabi” is a musician, curator and DJ on the borderlines of noise and pop culture, haptic experimentalism and electronics. She is part of the duo “DVRST”, an active member of Ventil Records, Struma+Iodine, Klangfestival and offers workshops in music production and performance.

Ventil Records

Founded in 2015, the label run by Ursula Winterauer aka Gischt is well known among connoisseurs of experimental electronics in Vienna and beyond, already housing a vast collection of artful EPs and albums, including digital and vinyl releases. They cover many different genres and styles, some are angry and ferocious, some meditative and calm, but they all have one thing in common: the artists' meticulous work takes the listener on a trip through the dense soundscapes they create.

For their program on @res.radio, the Ventil Records roster is comprised of four artists who will work their magic in the fields of industrial, noise and techno sounds.

The project is based on tighter audio connections between several artists living in different places (Georgia, Iceland). Being inspired by the whispering game Telephone, we are creating a chain of author's audio-works, which responds to each other. We have selected 9 young artists from both countries, who are interested in radio art or sound art. The first artist from the chain produced a sound work that will be shared with the second artist from another country. The following produced work will be like a response to the work and will be shared with the third artist from the chain etc. The artists are having a week to produce the responsive content / audio gesture. The works are part of a weekly program of Community Radio Tbilisi and Seyðisfjörður Community Radio.

The aim of the project was to connect the individual artists through the radio works, shift the passivity of the listeners to more active roles, create and interesting radio content based on experimental approach and support exchange and collaboration between artists and radio stations.

სამყაროს შეცვლა ნებისმიერ ადამიანს შეუძლია , უკეთესობისკენაც და უარესობისკენაც , არ აქვს მნიშვნელობა პრეზიდენტი ხარ , ბოზი თუ ერთი კეთილი მეეზოვე რომელიც დილაობით ადამიანებს გაწკრიალებულ ქუჩას ახვედრებს , სამყარო იწყება შენით და მთავრდება შენით , შეიძლება ფიქრობდე რო ვერ ვარ ჯანზე და ყურადღება არ მომაქციო , მაგრამ აბა დაფიქრდი ? რამდენ რამეზე შეგიძლია იფიქრო და რამდენ რამეს გაუკეთო ანალიზი , მხოლოდ დილაობით რომ ადამიანს კარგი დღე უსურვო , ის ადამიანი სხვას უსურვებს კარგ დღეს და ასე ჯაჭვური რეაქციით ერთმანეთს დადებით მუხტს გადავცემთ , სიტყვას დიდი ძალა აქვს და სიტყვა იყო ღმერთთან , ახლა სიტყვა ჩვენთანაც არის და რატომ არ შეიძლება ამ სიტყვებში ამოვარჩიოთ დადებითი სიტყვები და ეს დადებითი სიტყვების კომბინაცია წარმოვთქვათ ნებისმიერ ადამიანთან?  რათქმაუნად შეიძლება , მე მჯერა რომ ამით სამყარო უკეთესი გახდება, ცდად ღირს რომ ერთ მშვენიერ დღესაც გაიღვიძო ამ იდეით .

 როცა ახლაც გრძნობ მუხლებში დავლილ ტალღას ცდილობ ეს ტალღა უფრო სასიამოვნო გახადო და ისე იგრძნო ესთეტიურობის საწყისები, როგორც მუსიკის მოსმენისას ბგერები რომ გეჯახება და შენს სხეულთან რეზონანსში შედის , ბგერის დადებითობას ამ შემთხვევაში ძალიან დიდი მნიშვნელობა აქვს , რადგან მუსიკასთან რეზონანსში მყოფი შენი ორგანიზმი არ გადაიღალოს და პირიქით ჰარმონია მიიღოს  , ამ ყველაფრის აღქმა ახლა ყველაზე მარტივია , თითქოს უკან ვარსკვლავთა დასი დაგყურებდეს და სინათლის ციმციმით თითქოს ისინიც უსმენენ შენს მუსიკას , რომელიც პროცესს გახსენებს , თუ როგორ ფიქრობდი დრამის თუ სინთეზატორის პარტიაზე და როგორ დააშენე ნელ ნელა სხვადასხვა ბგერები , გრძნობ რომ მუხტი რომელიც ჰარმონიაში ჩადე იდეალურად შეერწყა სამყაროს და კოსმოსიდან წამოსული იმპულსები ისევე კოსმოსში გააგზავნე , შუა მონაკვეთს გადასცდა და აპირებს დასრულდებას, სიამოვნებით ისმენ ბოლო აკორდს როცა სრულ სიჩუმეში უნდა გადაეშვა სადაც განსაკუთრებული ემბიენტი იწყება , ოთახში არსებული ხმა , რომელსაც ქუჩიდან შემომავალი მანქანების შრიალი ამდიდრებს და იქმნება თავისებური მორზე, რომელსაც ხმაური გაძლევს , ეს არის შენს გარშემო არსებული ექსპერიმენტალი და ის  პერმანენტულად იცვლება , რათქმაუნდა ამ დროს სხვა ხმებიც იჩენს თავს უბრალოდ შენ ისინი არ გესმის რადგან 20 დეციბელზე ქვემოთ არის, მაგრამ დაიდე ყურებზე ხელი , სცადე უბრალოდ და მოუსმინე შენს მუსიკას , რომელიც ყველა ადამიანს აქვს , ყურებზე ორივე ხელის დადებით ქმნი ვაკუუმს და ისმენს საკუთარ მუსიკას .

[Vowels, as the most intimate way of self-expression.
Sound as a form.

With this exhibition we try to simulate the way we perceive reality that exists in our physical world in various layers and shapes.

Vowels draw - schemas, schemas draw - shapes and shapes draw reality which we feel.

With contemporary art medium, we can perceive only a limited portion of the physical reality, but if we separate mediums from each other, or change the hierarchy between them, we’ll be able to refresh our feelings and strengthen the perception.

Using the sound as a form, we’re manipulating on feelings: instead of the emotions - preconceived by our sight, we’re expecting new shapes - seen by our auditory sensitivity. 

And what reality indeed is: what we see and know; what we hear and feel?]
