Chasing Ambience

"Lonely Heart" is about feeling alone after being apart from a lover. It's a realization that the more you dwell on fighting your loneliness, the more lonely you become.  The Como Brothers are a singer/songwriter duo from Long Island, NY.  "Lonely Heart" features Aaron Sterling on drums (John Mayer, Taylor Swift, Harry Styles), Andy Burton on keys (John Mayer, Cyndi Lauper, Rufus Wainwright).  It was mixed by Grammy Award winner Michael Brauer (Coldplay, James Bay, John Mayer) and mastered by Grammy Award winner  Joe LaPorta (Shawn Mendes, Julia Michaels, JP SAXE). Matt Como sings lead on the track and plays bass. His brother Andrew sings the harmony vocals, plays guitar, & also produced the track.

My brother's now fiancé got him a picture frame 1 year into their relationship showing a collage of special moments they shared in their first year of dating.  The top of the picture frame said "And Then I Met You" in a script font.  I said, "that sounds like a song."  I wrote this one for them.  This song comes out on January 3rd, 2022.

"Beautiful Tonight" is a reflective, romantic, first dance wedding single.  It's about a girl who is loved immensely.  The singer explains how the girl "sets him on fire" and "breathes him to life".  The girl asks "do I look alright?"  The singer replies, "if you ask me, I'll tell you it twice.  You're beautiful tonight."

“See The Light” came together through Matt and Andrew’s personal story of trying to make it in the music industry.  The song is a chronicle of the brothers’ attempt to make it to the top of the music charts.  It’s a tale of their passion, struggles, and resiliency.

The song is an ode to anyone who is pursuing their passion and trying to achieve their dreams. As everyone knows, nothing good ever comes easily.

See The Light

This is a romantic song to my girlfriend.  This song was written after being out on the road a while, coming back and seeing my girlfriend for the first time.   Andrew then added to it and our song was finished. A recording of us performing One and Only has gone viral on Facebook and we have 1.85 million views which is very cool!

"That Thing" is an intimate, romantic love song about spending time with the person that you love.   That person always knows how to make you laugh and how to make you feel special.  It is a bouncy, acoustic pop song that has roots in 2000s singer-songwriter music, 1990s rock, and 1970s soul music.  The Como Brothers have been releasing one single per month since mid-2019.  "That Thing" is their latest single being released on March 19th, 2020.

Listening to The Como Brothers music you can hear their love of the pop music, the blues and rock n' roll. 

The two brothers, Matt and Andrew, are releasing three albums of original songs in 2016 featuring renowned musicians playing alongside them including drummer Steve Jordan (John Mayer Trio, Keith Richards), drummer Aaron Sterling (Taylor Swift, Sara Bareilles, John Mayer), and keyboardist Andy Burton (Rufus Wainwright, John Mayer).

Matt and Andrew are now in their early twenties.  They grew up with music from an early age and have been honing their craft as established singer/songwriters and performers for years in venues across the East Coast of the US. 

Their music has been featured on E! Entertainment’s Keeping up with the Kardashians, MTV's Real World, Oxygen Channel's Best Ink and a Canon Trade Show Commercial. 

Matt and Andrew, have been touring in 2015 and 2016 with their friend Sam Woolf, a singer/songwriter from Florida who placed 5th place on Season 13 of American Idol.  Sam, Matt, and Andrew wrote a song together called Sunshine and will be releasing it as a single in summer 2016.
