This set was recorded live at an underground weekly after-show called Etch A Sketch which started sometime in late 92 by Scott Leitzke & James Heth.  The weekly was held in a vacant basement of a building in the gaslamp area of downtown san diego. Despite the dodgy name and the fact it started in the wee hours of the morning, it was a very fun, but short lived night which offered music and a "free breakfast cereal bar" which was a pretty unique idea at the time. The djs on this particular night, if my memory serves me correctly, was DJ Xstatic aka Daeman, Joey Jimenez & myself. This was the era I was constantly being billed as the "sunrise" dj and you can hear why on this mix. Lots of deep / early morning house classics here plus a few other surprises. This mix has never seen the light of day until now. I hope you get a kick out of hearing this mix which is just a few months past 19 years in age. A big thanks goes to Nathalie Schroeder for lending me her copy of this cassette tape since I had lost mine years ago in a move.
