“This mix is an insight to my musical influences and inspirations. I’ve been loving KAYTRANADA’s productions, and it’s great to see new artists like BADBADNOTGOOD pushing the envelope of Jazz and be so well received. Cymande are true inspirations to me, they’re 6 incredible musicians that blend together complex rhythms, sophisticated harmonies and improvisations to make up a perfect groove, and ‘Dove’ is a sublime example of this. I’ve included some tracks from undercover musical dons like Nick Hakim and Henry Wu, and some absolute legends like Flying Lotus, J Dilla, Jamie XX and of course the genius composer Nils Frahm – I recently attended his performance at the Proms, it was incredible. Free Mind ha forjado su mentalidad musical fruto de la fusión entre sus amplias experiencias musicales y las bajas frecuencias procedentes tanto de Jamaica como del Reino Unido.
Ha participado de forma activa en el colectivo Kripton Industries desde sus inicios, afincado en su pueblo natal, Campo de Criptana, al que entra a formar parte como dj en 2006.
Su estilo se caracteriza por una exquisita selección y técnica, donde combina con maestría el alma cálida y espontánea del sound system de Kingston, con la exigente precisión y destreza que requiere la mezcla Drum&Bass.
Sus sets, calibrados para encender la noche, siempre se han caracterizado por tocar de una manera muy original y dinámica Dub, Reggae o Jungle. Proponiendo un viaje diferente para cada noche, partiendo de la música para invocar al baile y las mejores vibraciones.
