You'll have already heard the original version of Fusion's "Newham" on Lord Of The Mics 7, but let's be frank: there isn't a grime track out there that hasn't been improved by bringing in more spitters. As much as anything, it's just exciting to see an MC with an entirely different style taking the track in surprising new directions; and this "Newham" remix with Ghetts and MicTy is no different. We all know Ghetts, aka Ghetto aka J Clarke, with his unique rapid-fire gruffness and differing personas, but MicTy is someone you might not be as familiar with. His meteoric rise this year has been the talk of the scene and he's increasingly becoming a go-to guy to take your tune to the next level. Here the three MCs give us outsiders a warts-and-all tour of Newham and, in turn, give the East End borough its very own anthem.
