‘Infinitrix’ – the brand new two-part EP from Berlin-based producer, DJ and Kuukou Recordings label head Simina Grigoriu – will be released on April 3 via Metodi Hristov and Gallya’s burgeoning @set_about_music imprint. 

Known for her unique blend of mind-bending techno and dark, driving soundscapes, Simina’s imminent Set About debut is yet another veritable masterclass in this field, and follows a slew of impressive releases on some of the most revered labels in electronic music, including FORM Music, Tronic and her very own Kuukou Records to name just a few. 

Twisted acid basslines, industrial synths and pounding kicks ignite the two-track EP, as the formidable Kuukou label boss takes us on an intense peak time journey through the unrelenting title track ‘Infinitrix’. 

On the flip, unremitting bass and frenetic samples continue into the closing track ‘Spitfire’, as Simina deftly proves why she’s amassed such a strong reputation as one of the most prolific and promising sounds in underground techno.

What does techno look like in its purest form? Clear in its structure. Credible in its message. With an insistent beat in the background. With its heart in the right place. And its melody in the tips of the never-ending goosebumps.Those who know, are aware of that. Those who can, do it. At Complexed Records they've only been doing just that since 2014. But they do it with a sound that embodies such determination that it could just as well come from the good old days in the beginning. That's primarily down to label boss Drumcomplex, who in this short period and with very few artists has established a reputation that has projected virtually every new release into the playlists of the major players. And in the process he and his label have themselves grown to become a major force.It's as if Complexed Records hit the nerve of an age which was not openly calling out for a powerful breath of techno past, yet still seems relieved to hear it. Or rather, to absorb it. Who would have thought a few years ago that once again a new techno label would be established and experience such a meteoric rise. But let's leave the past in peace. Let's look to the future. A glittering future with packed dance floors, on which visionaries once again celebrate music as a unifying element as they dance together into the early hours, with gratified smiles on their faces. And the sound they're dancing to? Complexed Records. Modern Future Techno.
