Our 73rd release is upon us and we welcome back Gem label boss Secret Cinema’s latest collaborative effort with non-other than Dutch techno maestro, Egbert.
 
Opening things up, ‘Vortex’ takes us on a relentless four-to-the floor twisting journey through eerie soundscapes and rave-like synth stabs. Pulling our attention in through finely tuned details and powerful subs. Next up, ‘Random 47’ takes us on a thrilling ride with multiple layers of beautifully crafted synth work and a thumping kick drum that sends an electrifying current through our senses. Lastly, Secret Cinema calls on newcomers, Amata to take ‘Vortex’ on a deeper narrative. Focused primarily on groove and dream-like pads which float over delicate drums. „Venter – Boxe și Bază de Date”

„Boxe și Bază de Date” este declarația de război a lui Venter împotriva superficialității din scena muzicii electronice actuale. Piesa vorbește despre un univers în care sunetul autentic și experimentul artistic sunt pe cale de dispariție, îngropate sub valul noilor „artiști” cu portofele pline și voci goale.

Venter aduce un sound dur, mecanic, construit pe baze digitale solide — un manifest pentru cei care încă mai cred în creația reală, în munca din studio și în pasiunea pentru frecvență, nu pentru faimă. „Boxe și Bază de Date” e o reîntoarcere la rădăcini: acolo unde muzica electronică trăia prin vibrație, nu prin algoritmi.

Aceasta nu e doar o piesă — e un semnal de alarmă. O reamintire că scena are nevoie de suflet, nu doar de bani și conexiuni.

What does techno look like in its purest form? Clear in its structure. Credible in its message. With an insistent beat in the background. With its heart in the right place. And its melody in the tips of the never-ending goosebumps.Those who know, are aware of that. Those who can, do it. At Complexed Records they've only been doing just that since 2014. But they do it with a sound that embodies such determination that it could just as well come from the good old days in the beginning. That's primarily down to label boss Drumcomplex, who in this short period and with very few artists has established a reputation that has projected virtually every new release into the playlists of the major players. And in the process he and his label have themselves grown to become a major force.It's as if Complexed Records hit the nerve of an age which was not openly calling out for a powerful breath of techno past, yet still seems relieved to hear it. Or rather, to absorb it. Who would have thought a few years ago that once again a new techno label would be established and experience such a meteoric rise. But let's leave the past in peace. Let's look to the future. A glittering future with packed dance floors, on which visionaries once again celebrate music as a unifying element as they dance together into the early hours, with gratified smiles on their faces. And the sound they're dancing to? Complexed Records. Modern Future Techno.
