At the Dubby Launch Party, SIREENA showcased their signature blend of intricate prog rock and pulsating electronic club music with an immersive, dark yet melodic sound. For this special performance, the duo used two Dubby units to elevate their sound to new dimensions.

One Dubby was dedicated to quadraphonic upmixing, transforming their modular synth’s stereo output into a wide, alive, and immersive quadraphonic experience. The result? A sound that pulled listeners into a 360-degree sonic landscape, where every note and texture danced around the space, making the performance feel even more alive.

The second Dubby was used as an end-of-chain device, running the Kitchen Sank algorithm to add rich, three-band distortion, hi-pass/low-pass filtering, and the chaotic magic of a glitchy delay freeze buffer. With each twist of a knob, SIREENA sculpted their sound, locking feedback and creating glitch-infused loops that intensified their unique fusion of distorted melodies, electronic beats, and powerful synthesizers.

SIREENA’s use of Dubby pushed the boundaries of live performance, merging electronic experimentation with melodic euphoria. This track captures their performance’s euphoric melancholy and invites listeners to dance and dream.

LORNÆ brought his signature blend of glitchy sub-bass, deep house rhythms, and soaring melodies to the Dubby Launch Party at RUST. Known for capturing the raw essence of underground music culture, his performance was a journey through brooding synths, jarring guitars, and pulsating beats—evoking the atmosphere of dark, early-morning London clubs.

For this set, LORNÆ used a V10 mixer, Ableton Live, controllers, synths, and two Dubbys in a send/return loop. One Dubby was loaded with the All At Once multi-effect unit, bringing reverb, delay, filter, and overdrive together for hands-on manipulation. The other Dubby was running the King Dubby Delay, adding vintage-inspired dub warmth and unpredictable analog textures. The combination of these effects gave his performance a unique, immersive quality—seamlessly blending atmospheric soundscapes with powerful, driving rhythms.

LORNÆ’s sound is influenced by artists like Floating Points, Burial, and Four Tet, and this set showcases his ability to push boundaries while maintaining the raw, underground feel that defines his music.

N.E.GIRL took the stage at Dubby’s launch party with a lethal 30-minute DJ set that’s equal parts dark, soulful, and sub-bass driven. Known for her multi-genre bass style, N.E.GIRL blends syncopated rhythms, jungle vibes, and techno-infused beats that keep the energy high.

For this set, she used Dubby as a send/return effect, routed out of the send of an XDJ-XZ and back into a free channel on the mixer. N.E.GIRL perfectly fused the vibe and intention of the King Dubby Delay—a modern homage to the legendary tape delays of 1970s dub—with her beautiful and powerful performance. The delay added warmth and unpredictability, capturing the essence of vintage dub while enhancing the dynamic energy of her set.

With roots in the UK underground and global club scenes, her sets for Keep Hush, Rupture, and HÖR Berlin have made her a force behind the decks and a community builder offstage. This set at RUST for the Dubby Launch Party showcases her powerful sound, perfectly matching the spirit of creativity and collaboration that Dubby stands for.
