This is a very simple one-shot take of an idea I had for a piano based melody. Obviously very unfinished, this could be the beginning of a theme, a moment, or even background music for a commercial. Haunting, sad, poignant piano-driven melody.

A Passing

This was a song for a commercial that I did with my writing/producing partner, Paul Redel. The song was written and recorded in one day, with guitars played by Mr. Redel, and everything else by myself. There is another version with words, but this version better showcases the genre. Although the piece ended up not being needed, it was a great example of the kind of versatility that I can provide.

LAB Rock

When I first heard the beautiful sound of the Chinese Erhu, I knew I wanted to create a song around it. This was the moody soundscape that resulted. Between the synths, the guitars, and the Erhu, this became an interesting piece, easily suited for background tension.

Snowfall in the Temple Gardens

This was one of my first forays into dubstep, the elusive electronic genre of the modern age. Dancy, dark, wobbly and fun, this was originally requested for a commercial, and it would work for pretty much any dubstep need.

Eat, Drink, Wobble

This is the main theme of the short film I scored, Blacked Out. The scene is the emotional breakdown of the main character, and the tension increases and increases until he literally blacks out. I utilized strings, guitars, piano, synths and even a chinese erhu to accomplish my goal of creating a moody, heartbreaking backdrop for the action onscreen. The film went on to win awards, and additionally, it was shown at the prestigious LA Short Film Festival.

Blacked Out OST

This is a short little song I wrote in the style of a french waltz. Very simple, and sweet.

Champs-Élysées

This was an experiment with time signatures--as each new element is introduced, it begins a new count. 

Time Is Relative

This was a song I made in the style of an "epic" movie. 

Ride to War

This was a little piece I wrote, inspired by the skype ringtone.
