Crack the code and I give you the sound of the future.Coming at you from a backyard in the wilds of suburban Melbourne, Composite Cone unleashes the pent up experiences of an artist on a self avowed mission to wipe the slate clean. Scoured with ammonia and drenching in sweat in the way of the ascetic in search of redemption. He has found it in the whitewash of the alias of Composite Cone.Related to Mantovani, where something from the bloodline broods and carries on in a stark and twisted relief. Inspired by Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada and a less than easy life, burnt by the scourge of the psyches conflict with reality, riddles and tests and twists and turning around into a scything new sonic freedom. His sound is the narrative of his experience, "disorganised but chaos prevails". Intelligent, brilliant, layered, complex and compelling.

Composite Cone is the pseudonym of Anthony Petrou - an up and coming producer in the Melbourne Techno scene who has already had quite some amount of musical success already. Previously producing under the handle of "Petrou", Anthony has landed both an EP release and several remixes on one of Melbourne's premier techno labels:Machine Label as well as tracks on labels such as Italo Business, Freshin and Mystika Records.
But in 2016 he has decided to make the change to the name "Composite Cone" in order to reflect his growing studio and production complexity, stylistic changes and personal growth as a Techno artist. His style of Techno is a mixture of eclectic bleeps and bloops, industrial drum rhythms, surgical melodies and heavy basslines.
Anthony created the early Composite Cone tracks in a garage with an impromptu arrangement of drum machines, DAW's, synthesizers, and hardware sequencers - which are all strewn across an unused pool table.
2019 saw the release of Composite Cone's first album, Under The Radar which is out now on Melbourne's premier Techno label: Machine. The album was all recorded live, with each track being one whole take from start to finish.
