I chose a Bolivian tune (called Akwi Akwi).  

Bolivian Bartokiana. I like the idea! And the resulting music of course .)) 

I saw the sheet music and you used exactly the same structure of the Bartok variation to create your own on another song...interesting and  in particular I think it's a good way to learn from the masters. This use of the structure of other composer with original material could be a interesting idea (I already told this but I'm serious)...maybe you can use the other seven structures too and create a sort of twin with the Bartok's collection. Some days ago I've uploaded my interpretation of the first Prelude in C+ by J.S.Bach from the WTC, there's some points of connection with your track in the way I used the structure(s) of the prelude to create a new prelude using the same notes, harmony and form but a completely different sound pattern. I'm interested in your point of view on my track and on this argument. Thanks.      P.S.: I like the elegance of this piece!!!

Rudolf Schmitt - Strandgut / Flotsam And Jetsam / Épaves - Clarinet Trio performed by David Loewus

This piece for eight hands on one piano was inspired by the idea of a strange and wonderful
machine, discovered by chance in an old abandoned workshop. It is not clear what the machine
is for, but what is obvious, is that it is still functioning after many years.

....shaking off a shiver, he reached out towards the dust sheet and gently pulled one corner.
The cover slipped away revealing the most amazing artefact. Brass tubes seemed to feed in
and out, glittering with a mischievous sparkle as the moonlight danced across the room.
Glass vials held multi-coloured liquids, blues, greens, reds and yellows. The main body of the
machine seemed to be made up of junk found from some Parisian side street.
A bicycle wheel had been placed precariously on top of a funnel from an old steam locomotive.
A dustbin lid was tied to one of the brass tubes and wires surrounded the machine in pools
of varying colours. Small hisses accompanied puffs of steam giving the impression that
this marvellous machine was alive....
