Xinobi's new album is pretty much an album rooted in the NOW. Its emo electronic music you can dance to. You can say Atmospheric House with Spoken Word, dreamy electronic with a Pop feel, ethereal Techno, dark chill Leftfield fulfilled with uncommon lyrics on the dance music world. 
“On The Quiet” is a dance floor-focused story about the transition of many electronic musicians from punk rock and skateboarding into house music and about how dance-music can be a field for social conscious awareness. 
It’s common knowledge that the second album from an artist is his most difficult task. “On The Quiet” proves to be an exception to this idea. After countless successful singles and remixes Xinobi found his own style on his debut album “1975”, released in 2014, and improved that style on this set of songs that now stands a new landmark on his career.
“On The Quiet” is a reflex of the path that many contemporary electronic musicians have crossed, starting on punk and developing into diversity while keeping some of the ethics of punk school. One could say this an D.I.Y. record. Xinobi played and self-produced the whole album and even released on Discotexas (a label he co-owns with Moullinex). Friends were invited to sing on some tracks and there’s Ian MacKaye’s (the man behind such important bands as Minor Threat, Fugazi or the Dischord label) voice about skateboarding manners and urban alternative interpretations. The record also features an artwork by Braulio Amado with extensive biographical writings, all the lyrics, interviews with Igor Cavalera (former member of Sepultura and Mixhell) and David Andersson of Punks Jump Up beautifully crafted with fanzine-styled aesthetics.

Tale and Tone kicks off 2018 with the Dance Spirit EP. Label heads Hoj and Lee Burridge set out to showcase music that had both story and groove, and they are continuing to do so with this release.

The duo known as Dance Spirit join the Tale and Tone fold with “Wash Me Clean”. The track meanders through a groove like it’s strolling through a meadow. There is a purity to the sound Dance Spirit have created - subtle guitars, arps and melodies playfully talk to each other while the percussion keeps things rolling. As we get lost in this perfectly constructed groove, the vocals of Cari Golden take us away.

In the Dub Mix, Dance Spirit take us somewhere completely new. This isn’t a dub that just strips away the vocals. Although the heart of the groove is still present, this is a different kind of journey, maybe to a meadow somewhere in outer space. The groove is joined by tripped out soundscapes that keep you guessing where you’re going, and what you’ll see when you get there.

Dance Spirit also gives us their “23rd Dimension Portal Remix” - an ambient affair that presents the vocals of Cari Golden from somewhere in the 23rd dimension. With this EP, Dance Spirit shows their craft and their endless versatility. They give us a listen to their unique world, and we can’t wait to hear more.

Released in July, Belgian producer Compuphonic’s hazy, light dappled house track ‘Sunset’, has grown through word of mouth to become one of 2012’s biggest underground hits, watched over 2 million times on YouTube. The track, featuring the plaintive vocals of Marques Toliver (Bella Union), is now set for a full re-release in February on Get Physical, backed with remixes from some of the most exciting names in clubland today. 

Fellow Belgian producer, Aeroplane, shows just why he’s one of the most in demand producers around at the moment, delivering a remix that floats from the speakers, expertly capturing the warmth inherent in the original. 

Riding high on the back of acclaimed remixes for T.E.E.D. and Disclosure, London duo Waze & Odyssey inject their trademark house/garage bump n’ grind into the track, whilst up & coming UK producers Aashton & Swift provide a sophisticated remix whose subtle dynamics, synths and piano are sure to soundtrack suns both setting and rising throughout 2013. 

Get Physical’s own David Keno and Fabio Giannelli each retool the track for dark Berlin dancefloors. David’s percussive remix, adds a note of urgency to the original’s laidback command to get ‘Down to the Dancefloor’, whilst Fabio swathes his remix in sepulchral synths, reverb and delay to create a disorientating mix perfect for losing yourself to in the smoke and lights of a club. 

Finally, and exclusive to iTunes, we have Paraguay’s LPZ, whose ‘Late Night Remix’ sees Marques’ vocals ride over a bubbling bassline, portentous metronomic stabs and a solid, driving 4/4 beat.

With releases on labels such as Tiga’s Turbo, 20:20 Vision and his own Union Match Music, Compuphonic, aka Maxime Firket, has long been regarded by those in the know as one of Europe’s best new producers and DJs. Born in 1983 in Liège, Belgium, Maxime Firket grew up surrounded by music. He studied music theory and classical music at the Academy and did not choose the easy route by opting to study the cello. "A demanding and monodic instrument which forces you to find the right sound and the right note to make yourself heard. My cello background is still useful to me today." As an adolescent, he dreamt of playing in a rock group, but also discovered Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, Front 242 and Detroit techno. After having created his own studio and put together a few mixes on a Roland Compuphonic synthesiser (yes, that’s where the name comes from...), Maxime soon found himself behind the decks at Dirty Dancing nights in Brussels and recorded his first tracks for Dirty Dancing Recordings. In 2006, his reputation exploded on the dance floor with the groovy "Emotion", produced in collaboration with Tiga and released on his label ‘Turbo Recordings’.
 
Compuphonic’s dedication and elaborateness delivers spontaneous productions of hedonistic house. Natural, open to large spaces, ambitious but always accessible. Handling music as the art form it is. Alternating complicated with simple pieces, electronic with organic, light with dark, ease with emotional, celebration with pondering. Telling a different, but in its way even more exciting new tale, time and time again.
 
His underground hit “Sunset” ft Marques Toliver reached over 10 000 000 views (and counting) on YouTube and got support on BBC Radio 1 by Annie Mac, Pete Tong, Rob Da Bank and key media / blogs.
 
More recently his releases ’Radio Atlantis’ and ‘The Sun Does Rise’ on Berlin’s  super label Exploited Records  have picked up great support by radio stations and bloggers worldwide and after playing shows at Pukkelpop, Dour Festival, Eurosonic, SXSW, Sonar Festival, Monegros,, he's set to become one of Europe's best known too.
