Spanning from blistering Detroit-tinged electro to italo-driven melodics, the diversity in ‘Reality Zone' E.P. makes for a versatile tool that can be suitable for both the sweaty dancefloors and the early evening build-ups. This Russian-based producer, who has released on X-Kalay and Further Electronix, raises the bar once again, with an already strong catalog of thoughtfully, mood-induced electro and house. Right off the gate, with opener “Funky Detune,” there’s a weaving of both metallic and acidic sequences that bend at the seams as an electro rhythm drives the heat. With other bangers across these six tracks, like “Dangerous Groove” and “East Dancer,” there’s a clear force in Low Tape’s ability to create smooth soundscapes with serious grit.
