SLINK and Daytimers are pleased to present "Phiriya” by Enayet, their first collaborative release. Full release w/ remixes will be out March 10th on Vinyl + Digi.

Originally commissioned by the Samdani Art Foundation for artist Shezad Dawood’s “Concert from Bangladesh” film, “Phiriya” was composed and produced in collaboration with Daytimers’ Provhat, Dhaka-based composer/sitarist Nishit Dey, and a full ensemble of Bangladeshi vocalists and musicians.

The title track is a continuation of the modern club electronics and traditional Bangladeshi instrumentation explored in Enayet’s previous releases.

Recorded remotely across continents via late-night Zoom sessions, the piece draws equal inspiration from classical Indian raga, Nazrul Sangeet (a 20th Century Bangladeshi canon of revolutionary songs), and the diasporic blends of the 1990s/2000s Asian Underground movement. Translated loosely as “Turning” or “Returning”, this work is Enayet’s words, a reflection of a “shared and evolving cultural identity, in a young nation, in a region where national borders have been repeatedly shifted and redrawn over the course of the last century or so”.

Terminal’s DROPS series reaches its 22nd entry with Kalifrn at the helm, delivering three explorations in rhythmic deconstruction. Born in the heart of Finesse Records—its HQ studio in Mexico City— this release roots itself in dub sensibilities, expanding into warped, club-driven mutations. Each track is a spatial exploration, balancing low-end weight, swung percussion, and an instinct for negative space—raw yet intentional, stripped yet deeply immersive.

“Cuando piensas en mí” suspends dub in the cadence of Latin club, layering hypnotic tension between ethereal textures and percussive urgency. A moment of introspection wrapped in movement.

“Hey Cholo” carries heavy bass pressure, its charged atmospheres reinforcing a sense of constant compression. A Neton Vega sample cuts through the density, heightening the track’s unfiltered, visceral core.

“Mean Musik” operates at the intersection of bass and dub house, playing with repetition and spatial depth to construct a controlled trance state. Broken rhythms, enveloping basslines, and an architectural approach to sound design—an echo chamber built for sound system immersion.
