Concept Selecta arrives to showcase sets with the best underground techno. In this podcast, we will invite a different DJ to share their sound. Our focus is to promote our love for this music and showcase both local and international talent. 

Kicking things off, our co-founder, Mobius, will be starting things off in this first episode.

Mobius, a DJ from Bogotá, combines intense rhythms with tribal sounds and the unmistakable groove of the ’90s. Driven by the vibrant energy of Bogotá, Mobius creates a sonic experience that not only makes the dance floor vibrate but also takes listeners on a deep and immersive journey through the universe of techno.

This week, we’re excited to welcome our co-founder and creative force, SIXX, to Concept Selecta! Join us as he showcases the finest in hardgroove, bringing his unique sound and energy. 

Emerging from the vibrant underground scene of Bogotá, SIXX has quickly made a name for himself within the electronic music world. With a rich background rooted in metal and hip-hop, Sixx draws inspiraon from the raw, hypnoc energy of the 80's and 90's, blending it with the pulsang rhythms of modern electronic music. Now fully immersed in the world of techno, SIXX specializes in delivering electrifying sets that combine Techno Groove, Mental, Hypnotic, Raw, House, and Hard Techno.

This week on Concept Selecta, we bring you ACRR, an emerging talent who, since his debut in 2022, has proven to be an explorer of new sounds.

His sets combine elements of groove, hypnotic textures, and acid tones, creating an experience that evolves from euphoria to the darker shades of industrial. His versatility and ability to connect with the crowd are what truly captivate those who listen. So sit back and enjoy!

New Concept Selecta coming at you! This time, VAL takes us on a sonic journey full of energy and power. Get ready for a set that captures her style and passion for techno.

In her constant search for a sound that defines her, VAL has gone through a long experimental path to build her true essence. VAL offers a futuristic jungle atmosphere, touching on key elements like groove, hypnotic, tribal, and techno. She blends and fuses various sounds to create a versatile atmosphere without losing her core essence, aiming to surprise the listener and create an auditory journey through her selection.

Special episode this week on Concept Selecta! Our founder, Murdoc, brings us a set full of raw deep sounds.  

Murdoc creates a hypnotic and expansive sonic journey, marked by percussive rhythms and deep, immersive bass. His journey in the electronic music world has been shaped by the inspiration of renowned producers and DJs like Truncate, Ben Sims, and Mark Broom.

New year, new set! This week on Concept Selecta, we are joined by CypherRyT, who was born as a concept blending the essence of modern techno with the structure of classic mixing. He arranges selections in a fluid way, conveying euphoria and warmth in his mixes, aiming to make his dynamic approach immersive. 

He also values the opportunities within each track to create a fresh product, enjoys crafting his mixes the way he would like to hear them, and evaluates every moment to ensure the foundation of his set is understandable.

Concept Selecta 006: CypherRyT

In episode 007 of Concept Selecta, we are joined by Juan David Guerrero, better known as Jongo Sly, a DJ and visual artist from Bogotá. His style is characterized by a unique fusion of sounds that evoke the minimalism and rhythm of Detroit, combined with the rawness and immersive atmosphere that define Berlin.

Through each performance, Jongo Sly seeks to immerse the audience in a sensory experience that blends mysticism, rhythm, seduction, and a constant interplay between improvisation and precise musical curation. His passion for sound exploration leads him to create an intimate journey, where music and sound become the protagonists of a temporary, almost "voyager"-like experience.

Concept Selecta 007:  Jongo Sly

This week at Concept Selecta, we are joined by Cathie V. Her set offers a unique experience within the world of techno, where fresh harmonies and captivating melodies intertwine perfectly. Throughout her performance, her music sparks an immersive groove that invites both dance and introspection. Each track flows with contagious energy, taking the listener on a dynamic and enveloping sonic journey, where fresh vibes always stay at the forefront, keeping the dance floor alive and moving. A set that not only delivers rhythm but also a deep connection with the audience through her ability to convey her vision of musical connection unleashed in dance.

Concept Selecta 008: Cathie V

This week, we are joined by Juan David Otálora, aka Bogotroit. An empirical DJ/producer, versatile and musically well-rounded. Emerging from the capital of Colombia, Bogotá, with over 6 years of experience on the decks, he has played at important clubs such as Radio Berlín, Antisistema, KEST, Before, Lede, Meeting House, Gate Club, among others.

His dynamics and musical selection in the DJ set are what make him stand out on the dancefloor, always achieving clean transitions and an exceptional sonic curve. The genres he prefers to mix are rooted in the electronic side of techno, with a focus on mental techno, groove, and industrial, creating the perfect environment to add a quality twist to the party.

Concept Selecta 009: Bogotroit

DJ and producer from Bogotá, Colomboi fell in love with Techno at a young age, and in 2017, he began his journey into the art of mixing. In 2018, he trained at Point Blank Music School in London, where he earned a degree in Music Production and Sound Engineering. Upon returning to Bogotá, he began collaborating with Lega, founder of The Hindie Corp (THC), and is a partner at 2484 Studios.

He has played at venues like Menos Uno, Antisistema, and Gate Club, and has taken his music to cities like Medellín, Cali, Tunja, and Pereira.

With this set, we reach the tenth podcast of Concept Selecta! Thanks to all the DJs and producers who have trusted us but most importantly our followers. We’ll keep bringing the best national and international talent!

For our 11th Concept Selecta set, we’re excited to bring the incredibly talented Emma Yasumi! Dynamic yet hypnotic. Irreverent yet refined. Emma Yasumi is an enigmatic nomad who has been collecting sounds from around the globe for as long as she can remember. A true musical chameleon, she's unbound by genre, effortlessly blending textures, colours, and moods to tell a story... a story that could be as hopeful and exuberant as it is strange and hostile. 

Born and based in London, raised in California, and with roots in Okinawan Ryukyu and Polish heritage, Emma began her journey as a DJ and promoter in the London afterhours circuit in 2015. A world traveller and 21st-century bard, she lives out of a backpack and has shared her unique sound on dance floors in 15 countries—and counting. 

Her distinctive presence is felt not only behind the booth, but also on the dance floor and behind the scenes, as she continues her mission to reconnect people with themselves through movement.

Concept Selecta 013: Sara B-Lion

We kick off May with a fresh musical proposal on Concept Selecta from Andrés Prias, aka Cryptic Ways. His DJ career began in mid-2022 and is characterized by hypnotic, dark grooves and a progressively evolving style crafted for the dance floor. His main influences include Paul Hauck, rkeat, MIKROTAKT, Alberto Tolo, and Jay York, among others.

His music project has had its greatest development in the savanna of Bogotá, participating in events in the cities of Madrid, Funza, Mosquera, and Bogotá, sharing the stage with national and international artists such as BIMOL, Voltage Controlled, Confidential Recipe, Centeno, and others. Additionally, he was a student at El Club del Audio, where he studied modules on Music Production, Genesis of Sound, Sound Design, and Mixing and Mastering under the guidance of Tomás González AKA Red Noise.
