@nicolasvogler’s fascination for music stretches back far into his childhood. Born and raised in Londrina, southern Brazil, his musical journey first manifested itself in an admiration for punk and rock n’ roll. 

Inspired by the dirty rawness of old school techno and the hypnotic vibes of more contemporary tracks, Nicolas decided to pursue his newfound passion by DJing at small events in his hometown. 

Today, he is a producer, gaining renown through his own personal label NCLS as well as through recent releases on groove-focused techno labels such as Syxt Berlin, Drawner records or Hemisferio. From now on,  Nicolas’ tracks are played worldwide, especially by artists as Setaoc Mass or Ben Sims.

For this new podcast i tried to create the ambience of the start of the night. At the beginning of a night the tempo and intensity is lower.

I opened the set a little slower with some ambient and moved that in to some breakbeat and low intensity tracks. The momentum keeps building as the music keeps playing.

Lower bpm’s don’t have to feel slow. If you implement the right drive and intensity it doesn’t feel slow. When playing lower bpm’s there is more room for interesting layers without overcrowding the mix.

Alterego celebrates its third anniversary by debuting as a label with its first VA, made up of fourteen "Episodios Nocturnos". 
All the tracks undoubtedly represent the sound that the label has defended since its creation, offering a proposal in which both experienced and emerging artists have participated. 
The goal of this project is to evoke deep and mental sensations through its sound textures, always maintaining an intensity and dynamism that drives the listener to move and connect with the music.
As a result, "Episodios Nocturnos" suggests a collection of deep, mysterious and emotional feelings that develop in the immersive atmosphere of the night.

Dark Møøn - Engranaje (Original Mix)

For our 2nd album on From Another Star, we turn to an alum of the label, prolific Argentine producer CRØWN, now based in Italy and with an album and numerous singles on underground labels since 2020. Bookended by a pair of ambient pieces, ‘Isolated Nature’ and ‘Refuse Tension’, suggesting the moody, somber tone for the rest, ‘Expansion Gradient’ sets the pace with a spaced-out strain of techno contrasting rigid drum machines against squishy, drifting ambiance. ‘Decoding’ takes a classic sci-fi approach with echoing tones and subtle changes in percussion creating stellar movements. Ferocity increases with ‘Cruel Violence’, where heavy, insistent drums and bass shift momentum and propel the album into its second half. Claps, pads and bleeps add fierce swing to ‘LEVELS’, building to a climax of stuttering kicks buried under dense layering. More stripped and darker, with pounding bass and spinning cymbals interlocking with emphatic, changing percussion patterns, ‘Asymptomatic Deconstruction’ marks the peak of intensity. ‘Desecration of Organisms’ returns to the ambient sound-fields of the first half, its tactile, organic evolution suggesting microscopic rather than telescopic vistas.

Ana Tijoux (born in 1977 in France, daughter of Chilean exiles) is one of the most influential voices in contemporary Latin American music. Her style blends hip hop, conscious rap, and Latin American roots, with lyrics charged with social critique, historical memory, and cultural affirmation. From her beginnings with the group Makiza to her solo career, she has built a body of work that fuses rhythm and poetry with strong political and human commitment.

1997
“1997” is one of her most personal songs. In it, Tijoux returns to her intimate story, reflecting on childhood, displacement, and the scars of exile. With a melodic and confessional tone, the song connects the biographical with the universal, showing how music can be a space for healing, remembering, and resisting. Listening to it is stepping into the memory of an artist who understands creation as an act of identity and truth.

Danny Wabbit returns to the forefront with Manic, a carefully crafted five track EP that serves as a visceral journey through the psychological spectrum of the dancefloor.

The EP opens with the unexpected: 'Fear Is Nothing But A Tool', a cinematic dubstep intro to set a dark, preparatory tone. It then ignites with the title track 'Manic', a hypnotic and powerful techno cut built to induce peak-time frenzy.

Stripping techno back to its raw essence, 'Severed' delivers a minimalist homage to the genre's warehouse roots. This raw intensity then gives way to the meditative groove of 'Breath Work', a track centered on calming, pulsating rhythms. The EP closes with the soulful and uplifting vibes of 'That One House Track', the perfect euphoric finale to a long night.
