Con l’arrivo della stagione cocente cominciano le iniziative, quelle belle, che riescono ad animare anche le realtà più piccole. Oggi lanciamo SUN IS SHINING 2013: la serie di mixtape d’autore dedicata all’estate a cura dei diversi dj che abbiamo avuto modo di incontrare sul tragitto. Ogni singolo mixtape SUN IS SHINING rappresenta il punto di vista circa l’estate di ogni disc jockey da una parte, ma significa anche per l’ascoltatore spiare dalla serratura il piccolo ed intimo mondo musicale del fantino dei dischi. Perché credo che le selezioni a tema riescano a svelare molto di più sulle radici, la personalità e le potenzialità di coloro che spesso guardiamo alzando la testa e di cui sappiamo davvero poco. Inauguriamo oggi la serie con il concetto di estate secondo Diego A. Escobar, amico di vecchia data, dj resident di tutta la stagione invernale al Tombon De San Marc, architetto, batterista, producer e bel ragazzo ora abitante a tempo determinato a Nuova York. Ma adesso immergetevi nelle sue acque profonde cariche di groove e deep house.

UNA FUERZA is the new EP by Alejandro Veneno. 
It has two original tracks and a remix by Concret.
The original tracks follow the line of his last releases;
blue melancholic electronic music, with spanish lyrics and groove.
Concret takes the remix to a microhouse world, with a cameo of an universal classic rock song riff.

The EP it's gonna be out in Lassi, this 28 of april.

THE DIYEIS Concret & Inigo Vontier share a love for edgy and psychedelic music. They both are in search of a raw pure sound that can connect people on the dance floor without extra layers of emotions. Just the pure tribal effect of ecstasy. Their collaboration starts often from a friendship that quickly becomes also admiration and respect. They come from different roots but they discovered that in their b2b experience, there was something empowering for both. Each one of them counts with releases that go from Optimo toCorrespondant, Toy Tonics to Turbo, and Crosstown Rebels to Lumiere Noir. Their sets go from House to Acid with some tints of old rave sounds and psychedelic kraut nu wave. They have been touring with this new project in America and Europe and they are working on new original music to consecrate the project

”XYZ "Are the three directions in which reality can head to. Its three axis, its three possibilities in which humans can research in order to achieve a 4th or 5th. Those are the starting grounds of this audiovisual project. What can three basic grounds can be set, in order to mix them and achieve a 4th meaning? The ones we chose were: Human body, nature, urban development. First, setting up ground rules, physics, mathematics, chemistry, all the structured laws that control the reality around us, we take a dive into how these laws affect our mobility, enhance our creative and technological capabilities and allow us to imagine a balance in which human life, so related to chaos, can harmonize with natural laws.  The opening approach has a visual play with darkness, in order to allude to the way human science glides through all the uncertainty of a vast and mysterious universe. The same uncertainty and wonder drives us straight to the mysteries of the human body, blood vessels, microscopic life. All seem to be carefully put, to allow life to exist, to grow, and evolve. The second part of the audiovisual show is an exploration of how the human body is in a way a type of machine created by nature. with its flaws, but with an unquestionable ability to reshape itself to survive, to interact with its surrounding and reshape it. But first, it must understand that its environment is controlled by the same seemingly random laws. Human learn that Its surrounding, equally mysterious, must be understood in order to evolve.Which lead us to the third part; Nature. Being the most aesthetic and vast its the core of the audiovisual show, It has an interest in showing how strong a force it is in feeding and destroying. It provides both energy and poison. It may quench your thirst, but It may also drown you. It may keep you warm, but it may also burn you. Its the first home of the human race and shows how nature is wild, neither is good or bad, it just has a driving force to survival and evolution. We are left to the mercy of the cold or warmth of the atmosphere. And It is precisely in this impotence that man finds himself cornered to this next phase; Urban development. Cities, cars, machines and buildings are humans response to the uncertainty of natural environments, its mans attempt to provide control over the laws that seem to be out of our reach. In this way, man has created a warped mirror of its own capabilities. It has given himself the power to control, override, ban, restrict and govern others and its access to land and mobility. Once obtaining control over the merciless conditions of nature, with medicine and surgery to avoid death and illness, humans only have one question yet unanswered. Why? The fifth and final chapter of our audiovisual journey leads us to the gates of the unknown. Faith, consciousness and death.  Man realizes than the known unknowns, outweigh the known knowns. By the end of its journey, none of the questions that provide reason and meaning to its existence has been answered. Therefore man is facing the void, the nothingness, still attempting to preserve and extend life through research and medicine, the question remains. Humans are now facing the situation of trying endlessly to survive, cause after death there is no mathematical equation of what comes, no gamma ray reading, only more and more mysteries. That seems to be the only certainty mysteries to unveil, not to understand, but to endure and experience.

The village was deafly silent, you could barely hear a pin drop or a murmured whisper echo through the streets. Nothing happened in this god forsaken place anymore. Many, if not all, had left for other climes or intrepid adventures. They'd abandoned everything, in search of something better. Those that remained were intent on making their move soon. They knew the next chapter would be greater than this one. But then again, the grass is always greener... 

Paris-based Motordiscs, conceived by the team behind late nightclub Garage, set a pretty high bar when they launched their label earlier this year with a four tracker VA featuring an all star cast of artists: Khidja, Zombies In Miami, Curses and Kasper Bjørke. Their second helping is no different. This time they've locked in contributions from Sascha Funke, Modular Project, Massimiliano Pagliara and our pick from Concret & Cantor, a heads down cut driven by synths, atmospheric guitar licks and squiggly acid lines.
