As devoted fans of the staggering achievement that was Marvel's Infinity Saga, it would perhaps be fair to say that the ushering in of Marvel's new era has had more than a few bumps in the road.  With criticisms ranging from an over abundance of content to a significant dip in quality to personnel changes, reshoots, etc fan support has started to wane.  But with their objective hats back on, Vahé and Imran engage in a series of broader MCU-based discussions as well as diving in to more focused conversations on the product.  For this episode, the show explores 'She-Hulk: Attorney at Law', 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania' and 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3'.

Initially unveiled in 1993 by creator Sam Kieth, The Maxx was swiftly picked up by MTV for a thirteen-part series forming part of their Oddities brand in 1995.  The premise focuses on a small group of characters and their interpersonal connections that impact them within the perceived real world and an alternate dimension entitled Pangea or The Outback.

Vahé and Imran delve deep into the show's backstory, its incredible characters, its unmistakable 90s aesthetic and relish in what is undoubtedly a timeless piece of enthralling fiction. Directed, written, produced and starring the enigmatic Tommy Wiseau, 'The Room' has since gone on to live in an unprecedented level of infamy - initially hailed as one of the worst films ever made, it's unmatched level of storytelling, disjointed narrative and poorly-received performances and dialogue have incredibly secured a loyal and devoted following making something of a sensation of the film's creator in the process.  Famously immortalised by James Franco and company in the massively popular and award-winning 'The Disaster Artist' (2017), the film continues to find new audiences more than twenty years after its initial release.

With Vahé a long time fan of the film and Imran just recently having seen it, tune in for a great conversation discussing the film's lore and legacy as well some standout scenes. after a month off, CONFESSIONS OF A CURLY MIND returned with sumthn a lil different. the show is called "Dream Is Destiny", named after a brief but memorable scene in the film "Waking Life": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSQv-cWX47w. the film is about someone traversing a never-ending lucid dream. i combined that with my recent inundation of obscure 'world music' comps and albums, and created an atmosphere akin to a worldwide lucid dream. and exactly what that might sound like. in Vol. 1 we traverse the U.S, Algeria, Africa, Finland, ex-Yugoslavia, France, Colombia, Sumatra, Thailand, Tibet, Sweden, Turkey, India, Scotland, Egypt, England, Portugal, Canada, Cabo Verde & a few choice selections from my Armenian peoples.

*cover art is an original, unphotoshopped and untouched photo taken by my folks during a childhood visit to the Phillip Island Penguin Parade. its natural physical haze, combined with my mental haze of early childhood, helped evoke that lucid dream environment.
