I kind of went with a Glitch Hop approach for an original Deep House track and then just hoped for the best. But while being so totaly different from the original it has kind of preserved the original feel. At least in the breakdown sections.
Being kind of a melodic guy, I had to incorporate a somewhat melodic drop which ended up even more melodic as intended in the first place ;)

I think it turned out to be an absolutely amazing piece of music. Definetely my best work so far.

I'm glad I finished this one in time and I'm happy that I'm able to share it with you!

As the introduction on beatport suggests I completely reworked the original. I took the stems and the parts I liked most and used them as a basis to create some completely new, glitchy sounds. Basically every ambience part in this tune and every texture was constructed using those sounds. Then I created a really deep and dark, almost hypnotic soundscape and gave it a driving beat complementing it.
The result is a pretty deep, melancholic yet powerfull and driving piece of music.

Max Cooper feat. Braids - Pleasures (Conformity Remix)

Conformity started off as an experiment to try out something different after writing rock/metal for years. But I somehow got addicted to it and ended up doing what I'm doing right now.
I'm producing electronic dance music, especially broken beats, but I won't ever restrict myself to one genre. In the vast lands of electronic music there is always something new to try out and play around with. So as every piece of music is different in one way or the other, Conformity will change it's face from time to time aswell.
