It's another Ten Tracks mix, hun. This one is what I can remember of my set at @claymanchester's party in Manchester a few weeks ago. It was a class day and night!

I had wanted to play a set like this for a while – medium-paced, sexy acid chuggers and newvvwave classics - and the first set of the afterparty in a small room with big speakers was the perfect place. Cheers for inviting me to play, Christie!

The artwork for this one, created real-time whilst listening to the mix, is by our artist in residence Lily Wales. She was also there at the gig, lurking somewhere in the shadows at the back. Love ya Lil

TEN TRACKS 2: We in here, baby

So basically I'm pretty bad at finishing things, so I'm going to try and do a series of new tracks where I just jam and record and get it uploaded quickly. These are more simplistic in nature, but avoid me obsessing over detail.

On a side note, it's annoying it says this track is mastered, as I tried the Soundcloud mastering out of curiosity and thought the mastering was so bad that I did it myself (which isn't my skillset, but I think I still did a better job than their algorithm) and re-uploaded the track..curiously they're still trying to take credit.

I constructed a scale based on the golden ratio of 1 : 1.618. the note durations were also based on the same principle. It was realised on a Yamaha SY 99 back in 96 if I remember rightly.

I guess I'm doing that thing where you turn a 4-track into an instrument. I had fun making this one - the cover picture was my setup while recording this. It felt all cozy and the warmth of the tape fuzz made it feel like a blanket. So that's what it's called.
