Call Me Unique is a talented Birmingham based singer / songwriter & guitarist Her music is influenced by jazz, soul and jazz scat-singing. Merging sounds of Ed Sheeran, Lauryn Hill, Ella Fitzgerald & Lisa "Left-Eye" Lopez. Her new EP -2.0 - was produced together with the Budapest based producer RÓQA who creates his uniquely layered beats by fusing dusty vinyl samples and analog synth sounds with futuristic electronic textures. 
2.0 - is reflecting on the turning points in life and how u can handle them. Call Me Unique is playing with the thoughts of another "ME" in a world & life full of trouble & changes. Maybe there is a bit more in life - maybe there is a version 2.0 in everybody! Maybe a better one!
2.0 EP - delves into subjects such as growth, self-love, accountability, reflection and self awareness. The development of a person and their discoveries through sounds that represent the world. Subjects such as politics, the environment, self love, toxic connections and protecting your inner peace are very apparent in the lyrics. Inspired by lo-fi, guided meditations, eastern samples and hip hop drums. A merge of Call Me Unique through singing, rapping and spoken word over eclectic productions of ROQA.
The EP 2.0 was written by call me unique and produced by ROQA during the frequent trips to Budapest by Unique. As the second home to Birmingham based UK singer it became very easy to Collaborate and they formed a very strong bond through a shared love of music and a strong love for ROQA’s mother’s home-made soup. 
They have been working on this EP since 2019 and are both really excited to be releasing this on the german label Conjunct Recordings.
