For the 25th installment of the @strictly140 guest mix series we have the 2 dons Luke and Jake, who make up @sixsunsets. They've been on our radar for a while now having had countless releases on labels such as Deep Dark and Dangerous, FKOF, Banana Stand Sound and many more. They also hold a residency on the well known Internet based radio station Sub FM. 

They were featured in one of Magnetic Magazines first dubstep articles, heres what it had to say about their track 'Commute' :

"Six Sunsets - Commute - Six Sunsets are a duo that hold a residency on Sub FM. They've had countless digital and vinyl releases since they started in October 2014. They make an array of different music and aren't tied down by just one genre which I fully respect. "Commute" is a very evil tune, starting off with a few chimes and selected high hats with the bang of a drum and some aggy vocal sample. Then it all calms down and drops. The drum beat thuds right through you, partner that with the sub bass and you've got a very deep sounding riddim.  I enjoy this track a lot because it even incorporates elements of grime within it, like the dark synth that rumbles over the top of the sub. I'm looking forward to hearing what the pair have got in store for 2017, don't forget to check them out on soundcloud here."

This mix is everything we could have hoped for and more. With the music direction on point, stretching all the way through 140bpm, showcasing exactly what the boys are about. Make sure you keep a look out for these 2 in 2018.

Solid Steel (1st December) Our guest in Hour 1 is Walton who dropped his third instalment on Tectonic Recordings last month, calling upon Japanese influences where Asian instrumentation meets head to head with the cutting edge sounds of a UK grime-techno axis. The Manchester based producer has also released an album and 12's on Hyperdub, and in his mix unloads a pile of unreleased tracks from the likes of Rabit, Pinch, Lamont, Commodo, Ishan Sound x Hodge, Lowquid, Compa, Boofy and DJ Sinclair. He told us;
"The mix is a showcase of music I’m really into at the moment and also a good example of what to expect from me in the club."
