First single from the forthcoming debut EP, Scorcher, by me (Connector) out next month.

Spent a lot of time sweating and dancing this summer, both at clubs and concert halls. This track, alongside the other two on the Scorcher extended play, serves as a representation of my two great music loves.

Scorcher came to life over a sweltering NYC summer, a byproduct of spending a lot of time in blistering indie rock show spaces and sweaty club nights. I sought to make something that felt current and reflective of my own varied influences that also charted a different path forward for electronic music; I wanted to avoid the navel gazing of electroclash revivalism and I didn’t want to make anything that was strictly acidic or garage-y. The end result of that genre triangulation are the three tracks you hear on this release, a record that’s as indebted to CDJs as it is to the Fender Stratocaster. It’s discordant, danceable, and an earnest reflection of my palette. I hope you enjoy it in whatever way you like to listen to music.
