The past 18 months (since the last time I posted my Fusion recording) have been truly memorable for me, with many unforgettable experiences all over the world, new places, new friends and above all some amazing support along the way. I am grateful to have this opportunity to travel around the world to stages where I can expose my music. 

One of the key moments came back on April 1st when I closed DGTL Amsterdam’s Frequency Stage. I was exhilarated throughout, and I felt that I achieved a very strong connection with the people that were there that day. So much, so that I decided to go back to my studio to record the set again, so that I could share it with everyone once more here. Thank you to everyone that let this set come alive. Curating their second release on the newly established independent imprint TAU, the Adana Twins are keen to support the best up-and-coming talent from a saturated DJ/Producer market. The second release showcases yet another rising star; Paris-based, Romanian born - BOg.

BOg first broke onto the electronic music landscape after being signed to John Digweed’s ‘Bedrock Records’. 12-years down the line he’s released on Dixon’s Innervisions & Solomun’s Diynamic, BOg is a constant in the record bags of DJs across the globe. Drawing strong influences from bands and artists such as Depeche Mode, The Prodigy, Aphex Twin or The Chemical Brothers, BOg’s ‘Terra EP’ has an evident other-worldly feel.

Innellea returns to TAU002 this time on remix duties, remixing ‘Terra’ and further cementing his position as a core artist on TAU. The B-side remix of ‘Jahar’ comes from Mathias Schober, chosen for the Adana Twins love his sound design and aesthetic, the producer delivers a remix rounding off the solid ‘Terra’ EP.

Following their stunning debut EP “Inside”, and remixes for Booka Shade, Moby, and U2, UNDERHER lead us further into their beautifully dark and captivating world with their next offering, “Dark Souls”.  The title track, a firm favourite live, explores themes of heartbreak, carelessness and rebirth, whilst “Strained Are We” was written about the conflict in Syria and reflects painfully about injustice, the absence of control, and the lack of a voice. UNDERHER enlist the talents of dörfler, Strinner, and Koa to further expand the sonic realms of the EP into deep tech house, melodic techno and DnB tinged electronica.

Kalden’s accomplished cinematic productions and Jessica’s haunting vocals and beautifully crafted lyrics have been wooing music supervisors internationally, with both “Dark Souls” and “Strained Are We” featuring in recent Spanish Netflix series Elité.  Their incredible live performances have seen them support the likes of HVOB and SOHN, and play festivals and club shows internationally such as Stereo Montreal, Piknic Électronik, Uberhaus Beirut, Sisyphos and Katerblau Berlin, and Blue Marlin Dubai.  We are only at the beginning of what is sure to be a long and beautiful journey into the world of UNDERHER.

A natural for stirring melodies, Berlin-based @samshure channels his all-around manifold array of talents into his new EP, „Mirage“, taken from his forthcoming debut album „Laconia“ on @stilvortalent. Shure says: „“Mirage“ is a collaboration with my father who plays the Oud lines in it. I had the main groove of the track ready in my Berlin studio and felt like it needed some acoustic element. „Kamala Bani“ was the first collaboration with amazing producer Cioz. ‘The Secret Of Eos’ started with one of those special requests: Tale Of Us asked the Italian duo for something special for their weekly opening sets at Hi, Ibiza. The track was delivered and it became a key staple of their sets all summer.

You can instantly hear why; that crisp arpeggio, those lush shimmering pipes, the poignant chords and stunning vocal. A true scene-pace-tone setter, drop this and watch the whole crowd lock-in en masse as they submit to the journey… A journey that can be extended and manipulated to your pleasure thanks to the beatless version which highlights the musical versatility of the track and how it lends itself to any sets in the house/techno/progressive/trance axis.

For the final track of this remarkable EP we head far east for ‘Japan’. A much darker tale told by Daniele Aprile and Mario Roberti, this one firms our focus squarely on that lava-like bassline that morphs, mutates and melts throughout the track, taking us deeper and deeper into Fideles’ signature rabbit hole, to places unchartered.

Although a familiar face for regular Diynamic event attendees of the last years, it is only now that Innellea is having his actual Diynamic record label debut. Hosting the ninth edition of Diynamics Picture series, the Munich-based live-act, DJ and producer is bringing the influence of his melancholic club soundscapes that might best be described as a mix of cinematic and post-apocalyptic, combined with a very distinct novelty: using his own vocals. The result of this is an intimate listening experience, that hovers somewhere between wanting isolation and the desire to connect. Diynamic Musics Picture series is a document in time, showcasing an artists current creative output in order to allow the listener to visualize and understand the artist at a certain moment. It is not an album format, but far more than merely an EP. Picture is various dancefloor-oriented facettes of one producer, shaping the imagery that ultimately results in the listeners mind.
