For the climax of the season we come up with another sound spectacle. We present you the galactic "New Moon" EP by Cervan. The first track floats through those hypnotic vocals; goosebumps are guaranteed. If you pay close attention to the melodic parts on "Eloquence", you can hear a lot of vibrato components that give the composition a very harmonic character. The main theme "New Moon" is brimming with energy due to its pulsewave pattern and pressing kick drum. It's these calm breaks with layered constructions that make for a clear new moon atmosphere. "Stunned" is the EP's most percussion-intensive track, with slow buildups and additions of elements like long pad sounds and euclidean arp rhythms. Through tentative piano sounds and dreamy vocals, this four-tracker comes to a homey conclusion with "Fast Heart." This song shows us what sonic diversity can mean in the context of electronic music.
