Reference in your local scene, the real queen of raves in Rio de Janeiro, Ananda found its musical cradle in the warehouses and parking lots in Rio de Janeiro where it keeps leading role at its four-year-old Queer party, KODE. There, the producer and DJ receives the best in Brazil, in the famous events focused on Techno. But the impact of Ananda in Brazilian electronic music far exceeds the boundaries of musical genres. In fact, she regularly attends the revered festivals of São Paulo Mamba Negra, ODD and Carlos Capslock; Tantsa, and participated in incomparable editions of Pornceptuals and Buttons from Berlin. As a producer, Ananda's style is dark and intense.
His compositions are spacious and complex; delicate layers, tonal curiosity and haunting timbres intrigue and draw attention, transforming tracks that start in Four-to-the-floor techno language, into something completely more atmospheric. With solid releases on labels such as GopTun, TORMENTA and Methanol, the debut album of Ananda 'Retratos de Comutação', which came out via the Domina label in 2020, shows the carioca artist in creative abundance. Over the 7 tracks, covering everything from the sounds of the Industrial to Leftfield Ambient. 2021 was the birth year of your label MACRO, a project developed together with Amanda Mussi that focuses on the release of track music from Latin America and has residency at the NYC Lot Radio radio.
