Beanfield’s “Tides” was originally released in 2004 and evolved into an all-time club anthem by means of Carl Craig’s huge remix (C's Movement #1).

Almost 20 years later, on a grey, foggy day in late November’21, Toto Chiavetta sent sunny greetings from Sicily our way and attached his fresh, stunning remix of Beanfield's early noughties Compost classic featuring the unique vocal performance of Bajka.

And he perfectly translates the vibe of this record into here and now.

Hot on the heels of Helsloot's superb 'Let's Pretend' single in April come two new remixes of it by Tube & Berger and Saint Evo.

Helsloot's original was quickly picked up by an array of DJs and dropped in a number of great sets. It was the latest in a string of fresh singles from the Dutch DJ and the extended mix is included again here. It is a hypnotic and rolling house tune with lush chords that bring plenty of cosmic vibes.

First to remix it are German mainstays and Kittball Records founders Tube & Berger. This pair has amassed over 100 million streams to their name, have scored a number of Beatport Top 5 hits and are regulars at leading parties like ANTS in Ibiza and the legendary Tomorrowland. Their take on 'Let's Pretend' is a light and airy, disco-tinged and bouncy house cut. The scintillating chords bring light, a steamy vocal layers in the soul and the whole thing takes you into another dime nsion.

Saint Evo is the founder of Celsius Degree Records and hails from the savannah plains of Kajiado County, the home of the famed Maasai people. He is a pioneer of the Afro house sound in East Africa and has collaborated with a multitude of producers and vocalists from across the globe. Here he remixes 'Let's Pretend' into a chunky groove with delicate synths and starry-eyed melodies. The percussion brings rich Afro house vibes and the vocals become spiritual chants that cast a majestic spell.

This is a vital package that brings some fresh new influences to the great original from Helsoot.

Comprised of Emanuel Satie, Maga, Sean Doron, Tim Engelhardt and Yulia Niko, four out of five members of the group come together on Disconnect. Following the release of the Starlight EP in May, Scenarios collaborate with songwriter, singer, and producer Hannah Noelle on vocals.

Maga, Sean Doron, Tim Engelhardt and Emanuel Satie deliver a warm but club-driven vibe on Disconnect. Brimming with emotive chords, tinkling piano notes and smooth drums, it’s the kind of tune that’s appropriate for a peak-time festival set under the sun or a packed-out afterparty. Hannah Noelle’s velvety vocals evoke a balmy atmosphere, snaking through a low-slung bassline and bright synthlines. A tangible blend of spiritual and vibrant energy, synonymous with the evolving collective.

Individually, they are known as Maga, Sean Doron, Yulia Niko, Tim Engelhardt and Emanuel Satie, each of whom are established performers in their own right. Together, they become Scenarios. Only two releases in, Black Coffee, John Digweed and streaming platform Cercle have supported the label, while peak spots on Beatport’s Top 10 Chart have proved consistent. As a collective, their beliefs and outlooks are shared – allowing them to truly grow as one whilst maintaining their individuality as independent artists.

Born in France, Maga’s discography boasts releases on Flying Circus and Get Physical. Israel’s Sean Doron has found a home on Damian Lazarus’ Rebellion imprint, whilst his Monochrome event series continues to flourish. Cologne’s Tim Engelhardt is a mainstay of German label Stil Vor Talent, as well as Diynamic. Coming from a family of musicians, Fiona Kraft has always been surrounded by music and started to play piano when she was just a child. As a teenager, she modelled for some of the biggest agencies but also worked as a resident DJ in a club on a barge in Lyon named La Plateforme. Music production and the desire to express her soul followed in 2019 and after her debut single ‘Arenaz’ on Tinnit Music she has landed on the likes of Sudam Recordings. She has developed a distinctive style that blends an Afro house vibe with tight beats and has shared decks with Black Coffee, Miss Kittin, Guy Gerber and many more. This new single is a real celebration of freedom. “The Beat Of Freedom is my personal ode to getting back to normality," says the artist. "During the lockdown I wrote extensive lyrics about freedom and dance. After I wrote the synth lines and laid down the drums I asked legendary Italian vocalist Tanja Monies to sing over it.“ The single is deeply immersive, with lithe and elegant drums sweeping you up. Soulful synths dance above the drums and the spine tingling vocal elevates things to another level entirely.
