We welcome back two label favourites this summer on Nic Fanciulli's Saved Records in the form of Greek Afro House DJs and producers, Angelos and Da Mike, who team up to deliver the brand new, ‘In Your Head’ EP. Growing up in Greece's House music scene, both artists have earned their stripes in all realms of the music industry, playing alongside reputable DJs in the scene including Black Coffee, Manoo, Culoe De Song, Keinemusik, Osunlade, and releasing on respected labels including Ultra, Nite Grooves, King Street Sounds, Yellow Prod, Higher Ground and Tribe. The ‘In Your Head’ EP is indicative of the duo’s signature sounds; infusing tribal drums, crisp and energetic percussion, abrasive synths, inventive rhythms and powerful basslines adding sinister depths.

Univack presents 'Al Aire EP' by the Italian producer (based in Seville) Kanas @kanas_ofcl . This special EP is made around an original Organic House track, with flamenco influences, mainly characterized by a Spanish guitar recording, as well as percussive elements such as genuine flamenco claps and vocal phrases.

This first track is followed by two more club-oriented versions. A first version by the same Kanas with a more progressive flavor, but still respecting the main elements that characterize the original version. And a second version, this time darker and more hypnotic, by the also italian producer Frankie Vertigo @frankievertigo .

The EP is completed with 'Corona Borealis', another original mix, halfway between Progressive House and Melodic Techno, in which Kanas makes use of the Spanish guitar again, this time with less presence, among other more electronic and less organic elements.

Coming from a family of musicians, Fiona Kraft has always been surrounded by music and started to play piano when she was just a child. As a teenager, she modelled for some of the biggest agencies but also worked as a resident DJ in a club on a barge in Lyon named La Plateforme. Music production and the desire to express her soul followed in 2019 and after her debut single ‘Arenaz’ on Tinnit Music she has landed on the likes of Sudam Recordings. She has developed a distinctive style that blends an Afro house vibe with tight beats and has shared decks with Black Coffee, Miss Kittin, Guy Gerber and many more. This new single is a real celebration of freedom. “The Beat Of Freedom is my personal ode to getting back to normality," says the artist. "During the lockdown I wrote extensive lyrics about freedom and dance. After I wrote the synth lines and laid down the drums I asked legendary Italian vocalist Tanja Monies to sing over it.“ The single is deeply immersive, with lithe and elegant drums sweeping you up. Soulful synths dance above the drums and the spine tingling vocal elevates things to another level entirely.

Notre Dame debuts on Bedouin’s Human By Default label with three expansive house cuts. 

French musician, DJ and producer Notre Dame first emerged over a decade ago, sporting a uniquely cinematic and emotionally charged sound to his house productions that draw on a love of jazz and classical. His impressive back catalogue includes releases on labels such as Innervisions, Still Vor Talent and Diynamic before now taking him to Bedouin's Human By Default with his 'Amuse' EP. 

Opener 'Amuse' is an electric house cut led by elegant synths dancing in symphonic fashion over warm, deep beats that will surely cast a lasting spell on the dance floor. 'Dunes' then rides a broken beat loop, and edgy synth stabs heighten the suspense as sombre chords strike down with a heavy sense of emotion. Lastly, 'Mundo' showcases Notre Dame's arranging skills as he expertly layers up glassy sounds, loose percussion and wailing vocals. 

Notre Dame will be playing alongside Bedouin at their Space Residency on 15th December 2023.
