'Following his latest contribution to Innervisions Limbo compilation and a personal EP on TAU, Skatman returns to his home of Scatcity Records, offering up his second album Aromanticism.

This eight track collection defines Skatman's current artistic direction as well as his vision for the future of his label and the melodic scene. We see him bring his sound forward as a more minimalistic approach to the deep and melodic sounds that have shaped him over the years.

Skatman’s mission with this LP is to bring back the integrity to the sound he loves, taking it to a new level and triggering a change of direction within the niche that is melodic electronic music. The name ‘Aromanticism’ is a reference to the revolutionary aspect of the realism movement that happened as a reaction to what dominated art and literature in the age of romanticism in the 19th century.'

After his debut release „Beyond Imagination“ together with Hillmann & Neufang on Heinz Music, Kevin Paul is back with a fantastic solo EP. “Curiosity EP” is a 3 tracker packed with enchanting melodies and seducing percussions.

The title track “Curiosity” sets its sails and takes us on a smooth journey towards the sunset. A warm groove pulsates along powerful melodies, with playful synth stabs giving the tune a fairy-tale like atmosphere. “Monday Comedown” introduces darker clouds on the horizon. Deep-sea creatures emerge with mystical melodic synth elements and soft percussions, luring you into their underwater kingdom filled with sunken treasures and magical beings.

But, before they get complete control of you, “Nowhere” comes to the rescue. Energetic drums create a solid foundation for this whirlwind of dreamy vocals and fluffy synths, drawing you into another realm. Suddenly, you find yourself riding out the storm with the soundscapes of Kevin Paul, with gold in the cargo and a gleaming sun ahead of you.

Theus Mago’s ‘El Tiempo Se va’ eases you into the collection and is the epitome of ambient, gripping you tightly throughout as the spectacle of timbres cascade around you. Concret’s ‘Homo XYZ Chapter 2’ follows, driven by quirky keys and a plodding march that carries you effortlessly throughout its entirety.

Fabio Vanore’s offering ‘Desire’ brings a true hardware sound to the table as toplines spiral around yet more throbbing bass and steady rhythmical backbones. ‘Dreams of Corduba’ shows a real maturity behind Fennec & Wolf’s work as he ups the energy and intricacy behind the melody.

Italian duo Armonica has been a project we've discovered a long time ago, so working with the full release with guys is our pleasure and honour.
Their significant productions with Connected Frontline, Stil Vor Talent and Multinotes, as well as the recent remix, done with MoBlack for the legend of afro-beat Fela Kuti, released with Defected, have become the main reasons to love guys' sound.
The main title 'Slave' is powerful and effective banger edging between the melodic influence of laidback Indie Dance vibes and the acid sounds.
We are happy to have Dutch producer Patrice Baumel taking his hands on the remix of 'Slave': going more underground with powerful low-ends work, catchy melodies and the enveloping breakdown, Patrice's version is the undoubted proper floor-worker.
The third 'Ratio' has a profound ground: major synth spots and the melodic elements are unified into the properly performed track.
