London-based DJ and producer Katie Wilkinson is a bird lover, no wonder she decided to call her brand-new music project… Birds. Exploring her New Wave, 80s Goth, Techno, Psychedelic, and Experimental influences, Katie has been delivering high-quality themes and drawing more and more attention through her solid releases on influential Indie Dance labels such as Emerald & Doreen, Ombra International, Samo, Inside Out, and now on NEIN Records with “Time”, a 4-track EP divided into two dark-as-hell originals and two dangerous remixes by our dear friends Alvee (FREEDL019) and Gegen Mann (SXDNS220).

Her music brings together acid basslines with post-punk style guitars and off-kilter vocals to create something refreshingly original. The successful formula has been responsible for extremely well-crafted retro-infused pieces. In sum: Music with attitude, that’s the best definition of Birds’ exquisite sonority.

Through the remix we were solicited to review/premiere, Alvee proved he is totally familiarized and comfortable dealing with the mesmerizing Post-Punk universe. His interpretation of “Feed The Void” kept the gloomy atmosphere of the original even after having spiced & speed up things a little bit. The Mexican virtuoso went from 100 to 121 BPM, properly twisted the vibrant acid layer, and added some badass guitar riffs that paired sublimely with the amazing vocals by the star of the hour. Kudos, Jungs!

As our first release of 2022 HEARec (@hearec) present their 6th annual compilation - HEAR0052 comes packed with a diverse showcase of dance music. From slow paced tracks, hypnotizing psychedelic vibes to full-on Trance and high energy Techno. We are thrilled to present this year's compilation, one that has been long in the working, and to welcome a fine mixture of HEARec constant artists as well as a fresh roster of new artists and friends.

A diverse proposal of refreshing and haunting track as we like them here at HEARec. The art is a depiction from our main designer Sergio Salazar, always ensuring.

For the first time on HEARec we have MMYYLO (@mylosalte), with the track ‘She Kisses’. The french has releases on the likes of NEIN, Esthetique and Feinstoff.

‘She Kisses’ is a delicate Techno anthem, the track is a dance and also mental energetic.

Polaris is proud to welcome home French artist Panthera (Bordello A Parigi).

The journey begins with 'Crise', a track with kinetics pads that make your mind travel without moving from where you are.. The leitmotiv is pure and the trippy voices all around will be engraved in your head.

On the B-side, 'The End' is more hypnotic, making us float with its Vangelisian atmosphere and arpeggiating synth work that captivates from beginning to end.

For the remix, the godfather of Dark Disco sticks to the task.
Damon Jee captures the formula of the original but bringing it into his own universe. Turn up the volume!

One of the compilations of 2023 Curses' Next Wave Acid Punx DEUX saw the Berlin-based Musician and DJ explore the darker side of club music. Bringing together 49 tracks that joined the dots between early industrial pioneers, EBM legends and post-punk bands with some of the most exciting artists around today this was a celebration of the kind of raw electronic music best performed live in smoke filled clubs. One might suspect that between this and the first equally acclaimed, and substantial, Next Wave Acid Punx album clubland's gothic vaults might be eerily empty. But, just as every good live act knows, you should hold something special back for an encore, and so Curses is back with Next Wave Acid Punx DEUX - Secret Cuts, 11 bonus tracks that all deserve their own moment in the strobe light.

@NightNoiseMusic returns with a new release from @TheSovietUnion aka Richard Baldwin. Baldwin has a signature style that is cinematic and synth heavy and has been formed over the last decade plus. A fine DJ, experienced promoter and self-confessed addict of vintage analogue synthesizers and drum machines, Richard pulls his influences from early electronica, 80s film-scores, and shades of techno right up to the present day. 

This release sees 'The Soviet Union' drawing on all their influences to craft a rugged slice of electronica. 'Emptyhead' is the track and it features additional remixes from Mind Fair, Dance Station and Ondata plus a dub mix from 'The Soviet Union' .
