Kaio had his first contact with electronic music very early, starting to play in mid-2010 and becoming a music producer in 2012. Your impressive releases on big labels like NECHTO, Suara, Planet Rhythm, Modular Expansion, Archivio 01, has been standing out all over the world and has been played by names like Slam, Nastia, Marcel Fengler, Amelie Lens, Wehbba, Ken ishii, Fatima Hajji, Lilly Palmer, and more. Rico Puestel makes a strong statement on his new 11-track album ‘#technohasleftthebuilding’, which he also says will be his last after a celebrated career. The title and the album are a reaction to what Puestel sees as the collapse of the techno world as he knows it. He feels its spirit and cultural impact has been watered down to the point of meaninglessness, at least for him, and says “There is nothing left to tell.”  Rico Puestel has released plenty of seminal tracks on the underground’s most influential outlets, including Cocoon, Harthouse and Break New Soil, and adds that “the self-consuming scene has reached its grotesque climax and left an empty shell of something once filled with so much passion, warmth, strength, heart and hope. The times just haven’t changed – they lost their self-fulfilling purpose and authenticity.”

From now i'll try to release a safari every two weeks, it will be mostly unreleased tracks from friends, labels I support and my own productions, and some tracks I have been playing a lot recently.

Radio Safari #113  - Wild.

Bambu Huts in 11.02.24. This is  no ordinary venue; it was a place I had stumbled upon a year before, a serendipitous discovery during a quiet moment of exploration. From the moment I set foot on its sandy shores, I felt an inexplicable connection to it.

The setting sun painted the sky in a palette of warm colours, reflecting off the rough waters of the bay that day.

As I began to mix, I let the surroundings guide my song selection. The melodic beats of uplifting Indie Dance echoed off the cliffs, blending harmoniously with the gentle lapping of the waves. Each track seemed to tell a story, weaving through the salty air and into the hearts of those gathered.

Time lost its meaning as the music carried us on a journey of sound.
We had experienced something truly special, a fleeting moment of unity and harmony with nature and music. The hidden bay had once again worked its magic, leaving us all with a sense of wonder and gratitude for the beauty of the moment.

As I packed up my gear, the gentle sound of the waves served as a reminder that this place held a piece of my heart. I knew I would return, drawn by the irresistible pull of the hidden bay and the memories of an unforgettable DJ set.

Slouk @slouk is a French DJ and record collector currently based in Brighton, UK. He discovered the sound of arpeggios as a child, through the 80s Synth-pop tapes from his parents and CDs borrowed at the multimedia library. In his early twenties, he moved to Canada where he heard the sound of Hi-NRG and Italo on the dancefloors of Montreal. Ever since, he started to collect records. Slouk's musical journey took a darker path five years ago, while he was living in Berlin. It is behind the missed doors of the Melancholie 2 fridge and the Wrong Era parties that he discovered another facet of Italo and Dark disco... Through this mix, he tried to transcribe the dark and energetic atmosphere he experienced there.
