After some works on Disco Halal, Spinnup or Rotten City with his track
'Cube' (included on the last Rotten Citizens Compilation), young Telavivian producer Marko East comes back to the label, this time with a mighty EP full of acid and rave flavors, clearly focused on the dance floor.
'Kinda happy, Sorta Sad' is the very first track he did by himself, after working for a couple years with a partner in an electronic duo.
As the title says, the track is about how we sometimes feel living in this weird world, combining influences from 80s beats and rock attitude with the vocals.
'DIG' is also one of his first tracks, with a very 'Telavivian' vibe. The beat brings some Trance and Rave elements, on a fat kick and bass, definitely club oriented. That was his intention, creating something that would make him dance at home during the first lockdown.
'Empty Bench' is pure fire. With those irresistible 90s inspiration breaks and acid sounds, all the drum samples on this one were taken from his own private record collection, and the bass line coming from an old TB 303 which a friend gave him for just one day!
He locked himself in the studio, knowing that he only had that one day to work, started to jam with this machine, added some vocals through a cheap mic he had back then, and finished the track after 5 hours.
The release is completed with remixes from Swedish 'Trampoliner' duo Elfenberg and Playground Records co-funder Kuunde, both to the track 'Kinda Happy, Sorta Sad'. The first one with a wicked uptempo peak time bomb and the other one with his unmistakable bass line & grooves.

At the helm of the EP is Clouzer's captivating journey, ""Voices from the Abyss,"" extraterrestrial echoes and pulsating broken beats, embarking on an exploration into the depths of the unknown. The EP's second track emerges as a powerful stage presence, guided by the haunting vocals of Valentin Henning. Blurred and delayed textures immersing the listener in a mind-altering experience. Pulsating rave energy of ""Perpetual"" fuses cosmic elements, broken beats, and dark disco bassline, embodying Clouzer's distinctive sonic identity.

Nothing Is Real landed for the 28th release with “Disco Knife” by Sugar Rody. Co-founder of the mighty Dark Disko night in Tallin, he delivered a post-punk synth-wave 5 tracks EP, which includes two amazing remixes by the label friends Mufti and Gunce Aci.

‘Disco Knife’ captures the attention with the main synth, that followed by the vocal from the iconic duo Local Suicide, gently drives the composition hugging the dark and distorted guitar solo melody.

The second track ‘Jean Claude’ with his psychedelic guitar and leads, It transports the listeners in a cosmic journey. This is a truly original and mesmerizingly piece of Dark Wave music. The Mexican master Mufti did a remix treatment to this track, giving a special night driver twist with his unique new wave fingerprint.

The third track ‘On The Run’ has an Italo-disco soul, composed by rolling bassline and synth pop melodies.

Finishing off the release is the remix by the Turkish artist based in Istanbul Gunce Aci, which makes a fantastic disco-dub version of the main track ‘Disco Knife’, delivering a pure energetic bliss for every body-mover on the dancefloor.

PREMIERE: Sugar Rody - Jean Claude (Mufti Remix)

For the first release of GNC Record’s digital series, we present the debut EP of Dj Noche, a new project of Augusto Brasseur. In the first part of the EP, the clever vocals of Dami Paglialunga and Nancy introduce us to Dj Noche’s world, in order to later be taken away by catchy basslines and rhythm’s that invite dancers to join the dancefloor. Both tracks include their instrumental versions, where solid basslines and melancholic pads gain protagonism, giving more versatility to the EP and helping him establish his own personal essence. Last but not least, Saigg’s remix brings a more industrial atmosphere which is coherent with the Argentine producer’s strong presence in the global electro and techno scenes.

From the city of Rosario, Augusto Brasseur creates the identity of Dj Noche by combining a past of sweat, suffering and rock n roll with his always deeper exploration in the universe of electronic music. He has worked in production of bands from diverse musical styles and has developed himself in the live scene, integrating analog hardware with DAW sessions. In his live project Micro.Tron, he achieved a sound that captivates the energy that the dancefloor demands and has played his music at iconic clubs and parties in the alternative circuits of Argentina and Uruguay. He also has published his music independently and with established labels worldwide.
