Up next, we are super proud to welcome Malta's own king of the Prog Scene, DJ Ruby to the label family. Super deep warm basslines underpin the track, twisting and folding the original elements to bring this unique remix to the dancefloor!

Presenting their second release of the year, Pedro Capelossi’s Refraction imprint welcomes Chiari to the label for his debut EP. Healing from Brazil, Chiari first emerged in 2019 on the strength of releases for The Purr and Magician on Duty. With a deep, organic and groovy sound, the Balneário Camboriú resident was quickly tipped as a new artist to watch going forward. The next three calendar years would see Chiari choose his projects wisely, adding Hoomidaas, Seven Villas and Where The Heart Is to his discography, while refining his repertoire with further depth, colour and detail. A remix of Pedro Capelossi’s ‘Horimono’ via Loot Recordings ended 2023 on a high note, ultimately leading to his first release of 2024, and subsequent Refraction debut ‘Plans & Plants’, alongside remixes from Retza and Luis Leon.

LTR Premiere: Chiari - Nalta [REFRACTION]

Surefire purveyors of feelgood moments on the dance floor, Berlin-based outfit Kon Faber punch in on A Tribe Called Kotori with their very first transmission, 'Vortex'. Indeed a vortical maelstrom of rousing grooves and changing atmospheres, this two-tracker serves up the same montage of deadeye buildup construction and vibrational tune-making that's made the duo a favourite of ours. Tried and tested on the road for the past couple of years - while triggering off massive response along the way, both cuts bear the inimitable trademark of Kon Faber and showcase their taste for live-played music, with the final studio arrangement of 'Vortex' being actually taken from a live recording. A twofold palette of "energetic peaktime tracks, with a clear leading synth, punchy drums, while still adding plenty of organic details", 'Vortex' finds Kon Faber at their most convincingly precise yet soothingly soulful. Built around a melody created using their beloved Hydrasynth, the title-track unfolds as a steadfast big-room roller, "pulling you deeper and deeper into the vibe, until there's no escape". Engineering a solid mix of cascading arpeggios, stinging synth shards and intricate drum programming to boot, it throbs and morphs with every bar, making it a trusty companion anytime you need to crank the energy levels one or two notches up. A further syncopation-heavy piece of electroid boogie, 'Elevate' "keeps on raising the mood with its housy drums and clear chord pattern", channeling the whole of its punch towards a slaying, hair-raising drop. Flush with vibrant deep house-y tropes mounted onto an all-road EBM chassis, this one is a testimony to Kon Faber's ever potent and dazzling floor vocab.

The main track "Napole" comes with a mix of oldschool progressive vibes and modern production technics.
While the bouncy drums, groovy percussions and a big bassline are moving you to the dancefloor, the ethereal vocals and hazy soundscapes will take you further into a deeper state of mind.

The second track called Lighthouse has a more melodic and emotional touch to it. While a soulfull vocalchoir is spreading

Ben Men and Rob Malone are Raw Analog Funk and they head up this label as well as being known as multifaceted artists, DJs, record dealers, producers and party promoters. They have been active and shaping the scene since the 90s and produced the legendary BTRAX parties at Rex Club, which also later became a seminal label, and have been behind some key record stores, including Statik and Basement Trax Records, over the years. This new EP is "dedicated to the Cidade Maravilhosa". Then comes a remix from Carioca, self-taught multi-instrumentalist Pinaud. He is a well-established musician and DJ in Rio de Janeiro with credits on labels like Manga Rosa and Barco do Amor. His track is a steamy one with erotic vocal coos and a big breakdown, synths that tease and please, and rising energy that will get hands in the air.
