George Papadopoulos, aka Symmetric is a musician in the electronic and techno scene. He was raised in Heraklion,Crete when in 2008 he moved to Rome to study. That’s where he first started getting professionally involved as a DJ with electronic music. In the last years his basis is Thessaloniki, where he has performed in clubs like Tokyo, where he's created his own residency,Club Division, Block 33, and Club Decadence & Aigli Geni Hamam. He has joined many great names in the electronic music industry, such as Tale Of Us , Ben Klock , Sven Vath, Maceo Plex , Adriatique , Mind Against , Etapp Kyle , Fiddles , Aether, Antigone , Keith Carnal , Mathame , ARTBAT , Sam Paganini , Recondite, Dixon , Paul Kalkbrenner , etc. In September 2017 & 2019 he performed at Reworks Festival, one of the biggest electronic music festivals in Europe,alongside great artists. In most recent years his tracks are being played by big artists in electronic music industry, and in events as well, such as DGTL festival , Awakenings , Afterlife shows , Social Music City etc. That introduced him to multiple European countries,where he performed. To Dundov, “techno is music that precedes movement. It is dance music, solid enough to carry emotions through the dance floor and abstract enough to be a template for ever”. And indeed his breathtaking productions embody this ethos, serving the inherent function of making your body pulse spontaneously while also challenging your brain with its complex melodies and slow-burning, hypnotic progressions.

Although maybe the word “techno” doesn’t give enough detail about his style, it’s probably the nearest ballpark to whose principles his music adheres – and he is keen to expand the horizons of what people know and expect of the genre. But it’s that sense of his tracks being alive, forever evolving and expanding and increasing in intensity, which gives his music its unique sound and has seen his work crossover into a myriad of different areas of the global electronic music scene. 

His music shows you that he’s a producer with more than churning out mindless, functional and dispensable drivel on his mind. There’s a philosophy entrenched in his productions that breathes the very spirit of life and dynamism into them: “My ultimate goal as a producer and musician is to bridge the world of inspiration and physical world to the extent where the listener wouldn't be able to distinguish between the two. Music has this unique property to communicate deep emotions that are inherently in all of us. We just forgot how to use them, and my search is an attempt to revive those emotions where we all resonate as one.”

Born in Zagreb in the early ‘70s, his career in dance music stretches back the best part of 20 years. He counts a longstanding relationship with Belgium’s legendary Music Man records where he released many singles and albums and more recently with Marc Romboy's Systematic Recordings & the excellent Renaissance Records, amongst many others.

After a brilliant start and a brilliant podcast by @glassepl, which has gathered almost 2,400 views at this point, it's time for number 2. Seb is responsible for it. One half of the Seb & Rodrigezz duo, member of Wroclaw-based AFFEKT agency and resident of Projekt Pralnia. From the very beginning he has been moving in deep-tech house stylistics. He has been a resident of many clubs in Wrocław. For the longest time he cooperated with Droga Do Mekki, where he was responsible for the musical setting, and was co-author of the cycle Stay Dirty! Imports on which appeared such artists as Antonelli Electric, Jeff Milligan, Narcotic Syntax, Lawrence aka Sten, Apparat, Noze, Swayzak, Deadbeat and Aril Brikha. He conceived, created and ran the now-defunct Wroclaw club LOG:IN. It is worth mentioning his current projects he is involved with, such as Seb & Gosia (live drum performances), Deep Flow Yoga(yoga sessions combined with his DJ sets) or Snowee.pl Music Trip - a music/snow trip to the Alps.

N1RVAAN, Formed in 2020 is a self-taught Dj/Producer who is experimenting with the music since 2011. As a musician He started his career as the Lead Vocalist in a Delhi based metal band while pursuing Bachelors in Computers. After playing lots of gigs all over the country, he thought of taking music to the next level by entering the Electronic Music world. He made a bass music influenced Alias and managed it by playing in Night clubs across India while working in IT Company, Though he always had big crush with melodic and trippy music while maintaining chill vibes. Finally in 2020 he decided to launch 'N1RVAAN' and take it worldwide which offers groovy bass sound with melodic vibes including sub-genres like techno, melodic house and progressive. he believes the one who don't prefer energetic music will definitely like chill music. So he created two modes for live performance, Power Mode & Chill Mode

SInce then, he has been touring in Europe and the US, developing his sound with different textures of the modern dance scene. Among co-running the Madorasindahouse Record label and exploring the depths of house music for labels such as Human By Default, Cacao, Connected and of course Madorasindahouse Records, he is always keen on discovering new sounds that will off some extra spice on the dancefloor.

Alfa Romero is the multi faceted duo comprised of Marzio Aricò and Lorenzo Bartoletti. Both highly acclaimed musicians in their own right, the pair combine their many years of experience in electronic music for their all-encompassing Alfa Romero project. Working together as producers, DJs and label owners, the duo explore a shared musical vision in a partnership that aims to broaden the horizons of electronic music. Aiwaska is the project from the mysterious producer with more than 20 years musical background. He has a hypnotic and spiritual sound, with organic chop elements. A perfect blend of Melodic House rhythm, with atmospheric bass lines & hypnotic vocals. His production expertise has seen him deliver releases for such esteemed dance music imprints as Exploited, Crosstown Rebels, Bar 25 Music and House Music With Love. It’s also bought him to collaborate with a whole host of legendary vocalists, such as Robert Owens, Roland Clark, Egyptian Lover, and Aquarius Heaven. He’s been asked to deliver his unique style also to remixes for many dance music aficionados like Patrice Baumel, Eelke Kleijn, Jenia Tarsol & Kino Todo, Audiofly, Tensnake, Dj Assault and more. It’s this impressive back-catalogue that has seen him gather support from electronic music royalty like Solomun, Black Coffee, Damian Lazarus, Adam Port, &Me, Rampa, ARTBAT to name just a few. He performs in a mask as in Peru, when shamans make a ritual and go to a different reality, they put masks on. These masks reflect who they are and because of that, spirits recognise you as one of them. You also see coins on his hat because when you go to the world of spirits, you give these coins to them as a gift. Aiwaska is also doing an NFT project and series of events “Aiwaska Planet”. Within the framework of this project, he creates a movement of people who want to help the planet and the environment, and makes events which include elements of an immersive show and where the NFT part of the money is raised from. The sales from these events he donates to wild animals and the environment. He has a global fanbase and has performed at many established venues such as Burning Man Festival, Odessey, and Alfa Future People. He has also recently started his own monthly radio show with the reputable Ibiza Sonica Radio. His work has been highly praised by both Mixmag & DJ Mag over the past year or so, and a promising future lies in store for him no doubt.

Pôngo is the electronic music project and live act of Giovanni and Daniele Bruni, two brothers and composers born and based in italy. Their strong influences blending electro, soul and techno have created this new way to approach the electronic music scene, with the combination of evocative songs and a powerfully refined set. In 2017 their first two EPs are released on Connected. The sigle ''Lose My Mind'' remixed by Arbat, is a success and paves the way to a broader audience. 2018 and 19 mark the release of two other singles ''So Many Words” and “The Only One“ on Blaufield, music label from the German duo Booka Shade. The sound of the project is thus consolidated, increasingly oriented towards Melodic Techno & Electro. In 2020 the two brothers come out with other two very powerful and successful releases. The single "Crocodile" on Disco Halal, record label by Moscoman, and “Call Me“ an EP on Eklektisch label. Those huge tracks are supported by many DJs and producers such as Dixon, Ame & Trikk. The year 2021 begins with their first EP on the historic and well known German label Systematic Recordings of the legend Marc Romboy. Their work receives great acclaim from many producers and followers of the German electronic scene. Their remix of Moskow Diskow by the legendary Telex, comes out shortly after and is long supported by Solomun in his sets. This opens a new path with the majestic label Diynamic Records that will showcase their new single ''Get It Now'' on the next Four to the Floor series. In 2023 a new releases was done: a single in collaboration with Aikon on Multinotes remixed by its owner Musumeci. Finally, two new EPs on the Doa records label and again Systematic recordings. 2024 was start with Huge “Believe” Ep on Uppeground records.

3 QUESTIONS to MODEPLEX:

Q: Listening to your set shows a lot of young classics. The music isnt that old yet but it tells exactly your story. Tell us about your roots.

A: I started making Techno around 4 years ago. Before that I was really active in the Drum N Bass and Breakbeat scene. I guess it is still influencing me. I didn‘t had a specific plan when I was starting to make Techno. I was goofing around with my instruments and it really took a while till I got something cool. Than I was releasing something and got my very first support by Miss Melera. She played my tracks right from the beginning. But as it is always at the beginning, you do a lot false decisions and bullshit. I realized that I will stuck if there is no concept, story, philosophy or anything behind. So I started to think what I am actually doing and if is it good, and if not what can I change. So I slowly got a better feeling for the productions and finally I had my release „Pulsar“ in December 2017 on JEAHMON! which made the things start rolling.

Q: Your productions and releases already gave you the chance to play in countries such as India, Ukraine, Spain, Belgium or Russia. How would you describe your development and your place inside the scene?

A: I am still a super tiny newbie and I don‘t understand how everything works. It feels like I still have to learn one million things. Sometimes I feel so stupid when someone tells me: „Dave, you didn‘t know that“? And I am like: „Ammmm no“! But I guess that is normal. I would say, I don‘t have any specific place inside the scene yet. I am currently creating it! That is my development.

Q: Whats coming up next and which future projects are on the way?

A: I am currently working on my most personal and technically most advanced EP for already 5 months now. So yeah, that‘s one of my most biggest projects that will show up later this year. For now I am finishing a few collaboration tracks and I am touring a lot this summer. I am so looking forward to shows in Yerevan - Armenia, Cyprus, Hamburg, Berlin, India again and more to come.
