This live recording is a special one. Voigtmann stepped up to a packed Beach Stage on the first night of the festival and nailed it, his signature style of funk-filled house nearly sank the dancefloor during Picnic's takeover. Thanks Claus 🫡

Also known as a bit of a joker which we experienced the first time he came to play for us. Pretending to be way over the limit with booze he was due to get on the decks to play. Concerned about his ability to hold court , Yogh decided to call Tristan da Cunha to ask advice on what he should do ? Should he let him play in such a drunken state or should he let him do his thing? 

As it turned out Truly was just joking and went on to smash it like he does and made this wonderful T-shirt to add to the joke. What a punchline …

Theo Kottis: When selecting the tracks for this mix, I pictured myself at one of those legendary SlapFunk nights at Bret in Amsterdam, energy high, crowd fully locked in. This mix is my take on that moment, rolling through tight house grooves and deep, dubby basslines while keeping the flow intact.
