LET ME SEE YOU BUTTERFLY - PAUL JOHNSON / TRAXMEN (1994)

You can spot Jimmy Edgar's homegrown imprint from twenty paces -- someone at BR HQ genuinely peered at my screen and said, “bit of Ultramajic, eh?” while I was typing this. The warped club constructions falling off the label’s assembly line take many forms, but often serve as an aural reflection of that typically eye-popping artwork: synthetic, pneumatic, and kinda sleazy.

Chambray’s “Rub” flew the freak flag high all through the summer. Now, as a bonus on his Rub Remixes, we have a remix of deep cut “Untitled” by none other than Len Faki. The longstanding techno don remoulds the track into the kind of functional, weaponised tool that laid our Berlin space to waste back in April.

Alan Fitzpatrick and his UK based imprint ‘We Are The Brave’ enter their 2nd winter with a string of ravetastic releases under their belt. Just over two years since its inception, the label continues to capture fans’ attention with their showcases, pop-up raves and House Party Tours across the UK. For the next installment of Renaissance’s acclaimed The ReMix Collection, Drumcode boss Adam Beyer taps his label cohorts Bart Skils and Layton Giordani to join him in creating a pulverizing remix of Pete Lazonby's classic 1994 UK techno track, 'Sacred Cycles'. 

Giving the tune a tough and voluminous treatment with their signature Drumcode sounds, the trio beefs up Lazonby's original track with an injection of heart-pumping bassline and swooping synths.

Adam Beyer, Bart Skils and Layton Giordani's remix of Pete Lazonby's 'Sacred Cycles' will drop on May 24 via Renaissance.
