Recorded Friday Night at the 3rd edition of the annual Proxima Frequencies "Bangboza" party - was easily the best party yet and already looking forward to the next. 

Mix features tracks from Kasper Koman, Subandrio, D-Nox & Beckers, Dosem, Doppel, Quivver, Audiojack and others - as well as a few original productions, both released and unreleased.

After having sat on the idea for the last 2 years, I thought there no better place to try my first all original productions set than for the opening of the main stage at Interstellar Groove Festival 2022.

Having opened the main stage at 4pm on Friday at what has been one of my favourite festivals to date was such a perfect experience and couldn't be any more thankful to all my friends and punters who showed their support to kick off the weekend with a bang.

Premiere : Savaggio, Mount Mike - Ocho Yamas (Connor Mac's Niyama Remix)[Submarine Vibes]

Let us take you to a distant land, buried amongst layers of euphoric soundscapes. French Producer Möhne delivers a cryptic and scintillating new EP titled 'Explain to Me' - also featuring remixes by JPA, Connor Mac and Jydn.

The nature of both pieces within this EP give off an instant progressive feel, however, as you make your way through each composition it takes your mind to a different dimension as each element slowly blends together to create a new feeling of euphoria spread across the entire release. The vocal cuts embody strength and presence, the blend of harmonics twist and turn in such a pleasant way, you feel drawn into each piece the further you delve, leaving you wanting more.

This project is an important transition for Möhne. The transition into a much more worked and explicit style of music, in other words the end of one story but the beginning of another. for this occasion he has filled this project with emotion, childhood memories and innocence.

Including alongside the two originals we have a breathe of talent from our local shores, welcoming a staple in Australian dance culture JPA, a RC favourite Connor Mac and rounding things out one of our head honchos JYDN with his signature breaks flavour.

One of the longest standing residents at Sooki Lounge, Connor has soundtracked evenings at Belgrave's house & techno landmark for the last 8 years. 
His near decade-long stint behind the wheels has seen him play at some of Victoria's finest establishments such as Revolver Upstairs, My Aeon & XE54 where he's been given the opportunity to warm up for international heavyweights such as Quivver, Renier Zonneveld, Jeremy Olander, Sebastien Leger, Kasper Koman & countless others.

PLTU PREMIERE: Brian Don - Multiversal (Connor Mac Remix) [Recovery Collective]

My newest musical efforts come in the form of 'Jumanji', an EP I've been working on for the past 2 or so months.

Really been working hard to redirect my focus towards a style I feel reflects the sort of music I like listening to and playing most, a somewhat hybird between techno and minimal techno showcasing dramatic structure and using melodic ideas to form the hooks of the pieces.

The opening track, Zathura, is arguably the most melodic of the trio which features densh, lush synth leads and arpeggios before resolving into a spatial and dreamy groove.
Next we have the title track, Jumanji, a more stripped back track with a club vibe to it. Incorporating dark pads and aggressive digital sounds, this track would be considered the most DJ-friendly track on the EP
Finally, the EP closes on Mustang, a triumphant number that builds tension before closing the EP with a bang
