@syzuk self-released his Mindforms mini-LP in 2020, stepping away from the dancefloor to explore an expansive sonic world, ‘balancing the tranquility of the ecological world with the immediacy of the digital one'.

The original release was accompanied by a highly limited run of just 10 dubplates. Deeming this 6-tracker too good not to receive a proper pressing, Control Freak are proud to present the first ever complete vinyl run for Mindforms.

Alongside the record, Syz & Control Freak have curated Clubforms, a collection of remixes from some of our favourite producers, each bringing the original release firmly onto the dancefloor with their own production flourishes. @tammohesselink brings deep, European techno flavours to the slate.

Bandcamp-connoisseur with an endless curiosity, Christian Coiffure rigorously collect deep club music from all around the world, making mind games sonorities his favorite playground. Rooted in dub aesthetics, "Lookbook 2021 - 2023" artfully weaves together sonic elements from minimalistic IDM, dubstep, abstract techno, and trancy tech-house, drawing inspiration from Coiffure's UK and aussie club music influences, intertwined with his appetite for experimental and deep electronic music.

The album seamlessly bridges two distinct worlds within the Rennes-based artist universe, offering tracks that cater to both the club environment and introspective listening. Deep within the humdrum of the freeway buzz and eternal traffic of dystopian Los Angeles, there exists an unstoppable sonic gathering of minds, determined to spread a gospel believing that higher BPMs are not necessarily synonymous with harsh escapist mentalities and homogenous vibes. Lately however, as the belief system and community members have musically evolved, there has been some debate about the viability and true existence of this mantra. Is “Fast Not Hard” a sustainable ethos, guiding us towards the ultimate truth?

Just as the issue began to climax, seemingly out of nowhere, a helicopter emerged, containing a capsule from the future (or possibly aliens). Within this capsule was physical, musical, fundamental proof of the durability of their belief system – a bible of sorts, with all the thoughts and debates and beliefs and ideals of the group members mechanically infused into a shiny black disc of three original musical offerings. Upon digesting the capsule’s creed, the group accepted the music as scripture, and coined it “Soft Fascination,” – an emotional reflection of their fast-not-hard form of fundamentalism – and named group member Carré as their first chosen matriarch.

The debut co-op release by DIRTY GLASSEZ and N95 brings together the best of both worlds, combining a melancholic atmosphere with ghetto tech/footwork aesthetics.

CLOUDTEK reworks the aesthetics of the digital positivity and glossy futurism of the 2000s into a more mature, minor key form. Simple ringtone vaporwave melodies take on a thoughtful sound, shimmering in an ambient haze. Drums borrowed from ghetto genres add a special energy to the music.
