We're thrilled to have the legend Ron Like Hell guiding us through these emotional eddies. Truly the best of the best, Ron is a musical magician like no other, an unparalleled master of the dancefloor with seemingly boundless energy and boundary-free flow that reaches back decades and stretches forward to the bleeding edge of dance music. We've fallen in love with Ron's sonic sorcery during many truly transformative sets and shared dancefloor moments - all delivered with unparalleled deftness and gentleness - and also with Ron's generous, bubbling personality which extends warm attention and supportive mentorship with a unique graciousness and sincerity. Ron co-runs the legendary Wrecked party - currently in residence at Basement NY - and makes frequent appearances at some of the most esteemed halls and precious holes we couldn't possibly enumerate. In support is Bounce Boss Furtive (whose development as a DJ has in no small part been nudged by the effusive support of Ron, from pandemic-period invitations to The Lot Radio and an appearance at Wrecked's 12th anniversary celebration in spring 2023). This is Furtive's first return to the Bounce House booth in 2024, primed by a recent romping set at Nowadays and more ready than ever to deliver their finest on beloved home turf.

“narratively, it explores this shifting state of being within a period of my life that is defined by change, and how change is not necessarily linear when you look at it up close. i am trying to reckon with the idea of change starting as a small tinder, which then gradually grows into a fire, fire symbolizing transformation, like in eastern medicine.” - mui mui 

we’re back in new york this week to spotlight the brilliant dj, promoter & dancer mui mui. the promotor behind the techno casa parties (‘but not limited to techno by any means’ she says), mui mui has hosted residencies on noods radio and hong kong community radio where she’s been able to showcase the full scope of her sounds from the club to the home or digging deep into different narratives such as “something silly like a computer gaining sentience, or a dog getting lost and finding its way back home, but there’s always a beginning, middle, and end.” describing herself as ‘spiritually from bristol’, mui mui’s sound is influenced by the likes of hessle audio, the klf, autechre, mary anne hobbs, the ogs from detroit and many more. this diversity in inspiration is channeled throughout her mixes ~ on this occasion she steps away from the 140 sound she’s been playing a lot recently to dive into the 90-95 bpm wormhole.

“She is rearranging molecules in the air” was how Shane aka. Kiernan Laveaux‘s mixing style was once described to us by her In Training co-founder, Father of Two. Anyone who has been lucky to catch one of her mesmerising sets over the years across North America, in Berlin, or more recently during a tour in Europe this spring, will know exactly how accurate that description is. Kiernan Laveaux is one of the founding members of In Training, a queer party and collective which made its roots in Cleveland, Ohio in 2014. Over the course of a few years, by throwing their own parties in their small, industralised city In Training became part of the fabric of North America’s queer dance music underground. Shane is now based in Pittsburgh and, alongside In Training, holds strong links to the collectives & event series of Heaven is in You and Motherbeat, as well as other parties and groups based around the globe . One thing you become acutely aware of when listening to Shane play, or to her mixes, is that an intrinsic part of what she does is to create a narrative with the music that she plays.
