PVC-resident V:SONNTAG is an excellent match for our Connwax Selected series: Almost every day she spends time on researching newer and older music, her biggest joy being just listening and diving into moods. She’s particularly fascinated by the versatility of atmospheres and emotions techno can express. On one hand, she loves „fast, playful, sexy and groovy techno, that might at times contain acid or psy elements“, making the audience sweat and have a blast. On the other hand she likes techno on the darker side, which she can lose herself in. While preparing for this podcast V:SONNTAG envisioned a particular setting, that she’s been missing dearly during the past 1 1/2 years: „During my preparations I had Trakt 1 at Institut für Zukunft in mind and felt like recreating its vibe by playing a hypnotic, forceful mix on the faster range of techno“. Palma is a producer and DJ based in Lisbon (Portugal) focusing on fast-paced techno rhythms. His approach to production is simple but effective, resulting in straightforward dance-floor oriented tracks.
His sound is heavily influenced by earlier techno productions while also maintaining a contemporary feel. Some of his works have gathered early support from established names such as Setaoc Mass, Rene Wise and MARRØN.

The autumn leaves flying in the air mark a new season, and the next chapter in the Nachtblumen Podcast.  

Thomas Hijmering is a Dutch DJ and Producer coming from Amsterdam. He started exploring music in all its facets from an early age. Curious by nature, and with an eternal drive for experimentation, Thomas has been involved with the local music scene with various projects. 

In the recent years Thomas appeared behind the booth as a part of the duo File Not Found with one of his best briends Brent Jacko, who is now running the independent electronic music platform Minimal Collective. This project focused on the wider spectrum of music, without any limitations or definitions, but one main thing - their immense passion for music. Nowadays, Thomas is also involved and contributing to Minimal Collective too.

In the post pandemic world, Thomas became a resident of the Amsterdam organization Orphic, which has been a big step for his career as a DJ. Being so close in touch with the core community of the Amsterdam music scene, inspires him to evolve as an artist and also help shape the sound of the organization every day. 

Characterized by hypnotizing sounds, groovy rhythms and beautiful layering, Thoms Traxx is an artist that tells a story in every performance of his. He easily adapts, and is capable of creating various atmospheres with a lot of dynamic depending on the place and company he is at. One reason for that is the wide spectrum of music that he appreciates. 

His artistic journey is taking a momentum already, as we are seeing him play internationally in Paris and Berlin, and all over The Netherlands. It's only the beginning for such a talented dedicated young man.

For this podcast, Thomas went deeper into his soul and created a journey that reflects his love for hypnotic techno. The next hour is a beautiful journey, recorded with a lot of thought and feeling, from an artist that surprises his audience every day. Get in the mood for ADE next week and start dancing already!
