Yoga Nidra is an ancient meditation practice used for deep relaxation, to harmonise and bring balance to mind and body on a deep and subconscious level. It can bring about profound change in a person’s life by planting a seed of intention in the depths of the subconsciousness. 

The Yoga Nidra script and guidance is adapted from the book, Yoga Nidra by Swami Satyananda Saraswati.

Today's Active Lifestyles w/ Mücha - 31-Jul-21

The crickets and the night sounds were recorded in The Gers, southern France, July 2021. Effie and Matt's house is in the middle of rolling corn fields. There are a lot of stars there, it's a place that makes you think a bit about existence and aloneness. 

The synth and string progressions were recorded over a couple of days, the last days of living in Berlin, mostly preoccupied in a conversation with a stranger on the internet, the sounds of which made the room empty whenever they stopped. 

All conversations can always stop, just as they always were, so suddenly lost, so suddenly found again.

This is a remix of Paper Unicorn from Ochre's album Isolette which actually turned into more of a cover version.  I've been a huge admirer of Chris' work right from his early demos - REM Sleep Research will always be somewhere in my all time top 10 electronica tracks.  

He's continued to release some of the most beautiful and intricate music in the field.  You can find the original of this track, and all his fantastic music at his bandcamp: http://bandcamp.ochremusic.com/

This cover version has been made available to download with the artist's permission.  Thanks to Chris, it's a wonderful piece and I had a lot of fun putting this together.
