Inspired by the beautiful words of our national anthem, we’ve teamed up with our boy Lustbass to come up with an ode to love for our country as our first release for 2021.

The four of us in the band didn’t see each other in person during the entire process of this song’s production (vs. us usually locking ourselves in a studio for recording, mixing, mastering) but against the odds, we’ve come up with something we are proud to share with you all – it’s definitely a different sound but the same sarapan Conscious & The Goodness!

The Philippines will always be our home, it’s where our heart is at. However this song hits you, let this be your battlecry to rise up and overcome whatever challenges come your way – as individuals, as families, as a country.

There’s a light at the end of the tunnel, and heaven awaits.

Lambing is the 4th single from Conscious & The Goodness. This is their first release since their wins for Best Jazz Recording and Best Musical Arrangement at the 2016 Awit Awards. 

This is an original that singer Mike Constantino wrote for his previous band Mike's Apartment and was recorded and released under their highly-influential Lovers/Quarrel LP - but was never released as a single.

Today, the members of the band have breathed a different kind of soul to this playful track, giving it the Conscious & The Goodness treatment of SoulJazz, with a little bit of Hip-hop.

Lambing

Double Tap is a sarcastic but very conscious social commentary on influencers that do it for the wrong reasons and the sometimes negative practices that go with the profession. It is meant to encourage influencers to do better and make the most of their opportunities by positively making an impact in their followers' lives.

Our goal was to write an upbeat song that didn't need a horn section (our previous 4 tracks were heavy on them) so that we can effectively play the song live.
